maybe decrease the mana costs nothing more.
im a pvp disc priest myself... And there is no need for that buff.
Would be nice though but i would hardly notice it.
Everyone thinks their world is falling.. If they had a solid sense of perspective, they probably wouldn't be gamers.
Because for a class to gain that much armor from one spell (improved and probably glyphed) why aren't we just wearing leather? There has to be a downside, and this is it.Originally Posted by K21Nova

Increases your resistance to all magic by 40 and allows 50% of your mana regeneration to continue while casting. In addition, the duration of all harmful Magic effects used against you is reduced by 50%. Only one type of Armor spell can be active on the Mage at any time. Lasts 30 min.Originally Posted by Kelesti

40 resistance which is always nice, 50% mana regen which we spend 3 talent points for AND half duration for every magical debuff you could have on you. Where exactly is the downside there?

We get armor from our spell because we NEED it. Because in pvp we are tanks. Mages don't need armor because they can kite the hell out of melees and have multiple ways to get away from them.
Charges on inner fire are outdated. Charges are not only inconvienient, but can also be deadly if you get stunlocked and your inner fire goes down while still stunned.

Before the Spellpower? Meh, I had Consume Magic, so I didn't really feel the loss.Originally Posted by K21Nova
The Glyph increases the armor gain by an additional 50%.Instead of removing the charges and buffing it, or buffing it a bit and removing the charges at the same time, they decided to buff it quite a lot, and still keep the charges.
And even still, they buffed the charges via a talent and glyph.
Seals and Armor spells were made to be undispellable and half hour duration. OMG HAY LUK AT INNER FIRE. IT HAS DAT TO.All the while seals got buffed from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, and so on and so forth.
So having another half-hour buff that's on you constantly suddenly, that practically gives you free leather, makes your priest more fun? :I truly do feel like they could be removed and it would not make priests at all more powerful. Just a tad more easier and fun to play, which I thought was what Blizzard strives towards.

charges will be gone come next xpac, trust me.
I read that as "no need for that buff to inner fire" not as "no need for inner fire"Originally Posted by moremana

With 32 charges on the spell, if you lose though in such a short period of time without any respite to spare one GCD for recast, you're probably dead.
IF + Shadowform without charges? Hmm, might as well just give us leather. :P You'd be sitting at 40%+ Physical reduction with the two buffs combined, and a flat 15% on magic. Charges are there cause of it's high mitigation. The resistanceon Mage Armor is good also, but unless I'm horribly mistaken there's no armor value?
Blizzard have stated many many times that you cannot compare 1 spell/ability directly with another... any arguments made along those lines have very little weight because class spells/abilities are balanced as a package and are never ment to be under such micro scrutiny.Originally Posted by AetherMcLoud
Fact is Blizzard are trying to resist as much homoginisation as possible and this is one of those spells that has a very unique mechanic. For that reason Blizzard want to keep it, the spell is priced very reasonably and it provides quite a large buff for it's cost. Hence the charges will stay, however there is a trend that Blizzard eventually bow to pressure and i'm sure the whinging from priests will eventually get them to remove the charges but i'm of the opinion that it isn't necessary.
I wish I could still cast it on others.Originally Posted by derevka

If you loose the charges all they are left with is a buff that is:
- undispellable
- up all the time
which means it is a passive ability.
I know some people hate every button beyond 1 2 3 and 4,
but it is a different kind of spell, and i like it for what it is.
Jesus Christ are now people actually whining for inner fire?
That's fucking ridicolous.

Tbh i do see the points people are comming with, which as i see em are more or less;
- Remove charges, you dont rly notice em, so why have em?
- Remove em, It makes it easyer.
- Keep em, dont notice em anyway...
- Keep charges, it makes it a casted buff, without em might aswell give us the SP / armor insted of the buff.
All which have their point, clash of opinions : and i don't rly think there will be a "conclusion" to the post sept that different people, different PoV's.
Although personaly i think of it like "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" ;D and i dont think it's broken.
Wouldn't mind if they changed it, but ain't gonna think twice about it if they don't. :P
