I would think that a hunter would be fastest to level, with a Rogue being a close second. The time it will tak will vary on few factors. If you have a higher level character to help with gear and other costs it will speed things up. But first toon on a server I would guess around 12 days played for level 80.

Does it even matter anymore? Now that leveling from 1-70 has had repeated nerfs, you can get triple xp from RAF, and have heirloom gear that snags you an additional 10% per kill, does the race even matter?
I was impressed when people were hitting 1-60 in less than 5 days /played before TBC. Now, it's just trivial.
