    Building a new resto pvp

    Hey guys,

Even though this site is based more on pve, i find that the people on here are far more helpful then AJ when it comes to helping someone out. So here i go:

Basically im a feral druid bear in pve, building a resto set for pvp with my friend. Probably mostly resto/mm hunter 2's and bgs, MIGHT dip into 3's but not sure about that yet. But as it is im a tank on this char, so im not 100% about "rotation" for resto. So i was wondering if i could get help in a couple things.

1.Spec i know pvp spec is a little different that pve spec and thats all thats posted on here.
2.Which idol should i be going for, the pvp one or triumph/frost badge pve one.
    3. Basic "rotation" and i use that figuratively knowing there really isnt a rotation for pvp, but basically a priority if that sounds better.

Thank you guys with any advice/help.

What spec you use is generally up to what comp you play, your gear, your partner's gear, and your style. If you're doing 2s and not dipping into 3s or 5s, I'd recommend an offensive spec built around haste:
    http://www.wowhead.com/talent#0VGzubhoZZf0IubuxfzAzsf
Some people choose to go into Lunar Guidance instead of Gift of the Earthmother, but %haste will be better for you considering you won't have much resto PVE gear to choose from.

The idol you'll want to get is the one from triumph badges. The frost badge one is okay, but it has to stack and generally drops if you need to drink.

Keep Rejuvs on both you and your partner, and if possible both IS and Moonfire on kill targets to keep up AoE pressure. Coordinate CC (don't Cyclone someone about to get freezing arrowed). Remember your cyclones, if one guy has no DRs on cyclone you're probably not using it enough. Try to keep swiftmends for... not necessarily emergencies, but for times when you need it. If you can safely get a regrowth or a nourish off (CS, Silencing Shot, SL, et cetera are on cooldown) do that before swiftmending. nnervate when you're down 6-7k mana. Protect it (Don't let it get eaten away, or you get cycloned). Cyclone their innervates and divine pleas.

Remember, arenaing, especially healing, is ALL about practice and use of your GCDs. Stuttering will get you killed quite easily.

For 3s, you pretty much need to go with a defensive spec.

For 2s, most would recommend Swiftmend, Rapid Rejuv, and Insect Swarm. I, however, appreciate the value of -%hit of IS, considering people tend to barely hit the hit cap and not go over. I personally like the nourish glyph for 2s instead of IS, and the Nourish glyph is what you will go with (with those first two) in 3s and 5s.

Thanks for the advice guys. And if there are anyone else reading with any more input. Please the more the better. There just isn't a good sticky for anything pvp here...granted like i said this is more of a pve site. But any different specs/glyphs/strat suggestions are welcome :-)

i know, its made for retri/resto, but its a nice "guide" anyways imo

    i run with a defensive specc in 2v2. http://www.wowhead.com/talent#0VG0uZZf0IubuxiuA0sio

im using 2p deadly resto, 2p fourios balance (for double resi bonus) and the WG shoulders. im using 30 sta in blue, 20 resi in yellow and 12 sp/10 resi in red. i got wrathfull bracers, beck and neck. relentless boots and belt. pvp trinket, battlemasters trinket (sp), rele ring and WG ring. this brings me to 1217 resi and 26k hp. and i love it!!!

The whole 2 kodohide/2 wildhide argument is a valid one. I tried it myself for a while, but when I got wrathful gear I went straight resto for the 13 second swiftmend, and that's definitely what I like more. But if you're using deadly and furious gear, you may want to split 2/2, just for the survivability. It all comes down to how much resilience you want, when compared to how much spell power you have.
