i think this is the case too. however some bosses are simply immune to taunt, for which i still dont think theyll let you use it for dmg.

I just checked the current Hand of Reckoning. And targets that are immune to taunt will not take damage from it.
So assuming the damage is applied under the same conditions(Immune to taunt = no damage done).

Therefore using it in PvP and damage on taunt immune bosses will not work.

On the test dummys, HoR was #4 on my damage list. Good for solo'ing, but I agree, i'd /gkick anyone using it during a raid.


And yes, it does the damage regardless if the target is immune to taunt.

The mechanics were changed, it does cause damage when a target is immune to taunt.

No, he's quite tauntable, was actually a rather important part of the fight.

If memory serves, the world boss dragons are too, so no good there....

I don't think totems can be taunted....you might try going to Slave Pens, pulling the first boss, and trying to use it on the totems he drops.

If I'm wrong about totems being taunt-immune, maybe the fire elementals in the third boss encounter in Mechanar would work. Beyond that, there's nothing I can come up with right now, but if I think of anything else I'll let ya know.

While you're at it, check with one of your buddies if, beside taunting, it affects your aggro when using it, bringing you closer to the actual target. It should not, obviously, but you never know :P

I, for one, wouldn't like to have a retribution paladin on my tail when I'm tanking Vezax.
