Right, but what happens after his shield is brought down, when you actually dps Yogg himself. She isnt there anymore, has no departing speach, just kinda....disappears.

Yogg casts Lunatic Gaze periodically in P3, hitting anyone facing him and reducing their sanity. You know, the same mechanic the skulls in the portal rooms use. I could go off on a bit of a tangent about learning boss fights thoroughly instead of just "dis happens den that and there are swirly colors and I stand over here" but I'm too tired.

That's in phase 2. Phase 3 is where the ranged dps Yogg while the melee take care of the immortals.

I've never really paid attention but I would assume she simply fades away, as Yoggy is now unshielded and a very angry blob of mouths. She is definetely not present in p3, however.

That's what happens in the transition between phase 1 and phase 2. Completely not what the OP asked.

I really don't think it's an avatar of him at this point. In the 5 man instances, a woman get's turned into a Valkyrie. The same thing that is flying above him in phase2.

This could either mean blizzard is just half arsing more content, or that woman was just a woman and was rewarded for being a decoy, but when she failed to stop the raid, he kills her. If you notice at the start of phase 3, he makes a spasm upward, and then she's gone.
