    toc champions - thinktank

FIRST OF ALL! this is totally not a qq thread and plz dont go flaming w/ that "omg pvp in pve i actually have to think" garbage this is simpley a thread to try and think up a strategy on wut to do

aight here is the make up we are agianst:

    disc priest
    lock
    shammy
    tree druid
    rogue
    mage

    we are:

    holy palli ( ;D )
    disc priest
    disc priest
    prot war
    feral druid
    enhance shammy
    ele shammy
    hunter
    lock
    rogue

kk we tryed to cc as much as possible it was truly a pain, i spent most of the time either running in fear, as a sheep, silenced, hex'd repeat went thru bubble and trink. same w/ my team any ideas?

we tryed just burning down the rogue immediatly cuz he keeps doing shadowstep or something and nearly one shoting ppl we also tryed just straight burning the tree druid and priest hoping to slow down their heals and/or stoping their dispeels everytime trying our hardest to keep as much cc'd as possible hard part is it seeems like they can get out of any cc in 2 sec's

    Re: toc champions - thinktank

keep the prot warrior on the priest, have him interupt as much as possible
keep the rogue on the druid, use wounding poison
shamans use hex as much as possible on the non-current target
hunter trasp as much as possible

all dps kill druid-> priest -> take your pick

cleanse a lot, both priests and yourself

and DO NOT use aoe, they take 25% normal damage form aoe, an it will just break cc

cc will need to be renewed and swapped around often as the pvp durations and DRs take effect

Definitely have your hunter spec into Aimed Shot. Some type of healing debuff is super helpful here.

Keep the druid CCed as much as possible while you zerg the priest.

    Bloodlust right off the bat.

Keep your CCs up and try to alternate them so as to avoid DRs.

You got two disc priests in your group? lol

Well, just have one of them on dispel duty, as I doubt you should lack in healing really.

focus down druid while keeping rogue warrior and priest Cc'd. Kill druid priest then rogue. while ccing others.

    Re: toc champions - thinktank

have a tank stand away from the clusterfuck and just keep taunting the rogue over and over. (i know you cant tank them, but you can taunt them back and forth to keep it mostly out of the way)

kill the healers first, i would say the priest first since it can heal and fear which is annoying.

we had no problem with the rogue after we started just taunting it out of the group every cooldown to keep it busy.

most importantly have your rogue spec into FoK talent and using wound poison and mind numbing poison to at least slow the casters if they cast between FoK spam. This really is the key, just make sure to keep your rogue alive as he will take alot of damage and is the key to making the fight easier.

at least all this worked great for us.

My guild two-shot it on 25, and the key for our group was to cc the resto shammy while burning down the Tree druid immediately with BL. Resto shaman went down next. Kept the hunter sheeped, lock pet banished (broke after 5 seconds) and used fear bombs and such as needed. Those two healers and the holy pally did more healing and dispelling than I've ever seen period. Our last 4 that we killed were warrior, dk, rogue then warlock. Great boss fight concept, and a lot of fun.

What my guild ended up doing in 25m was this: We placed players with the lowest damage but plentiful interrupts such as rogues or prot warriors (Not saying theyre low dps, just out of those available they were the lowest) on the healers to interrupt they're heals. Next we focused down the pets and then the enemies which caused the most problems such as the rogue or DK. While we burnt them down we kept our enhance shaman on them spamming purge because we found the majority of the NPC healing came from hots. After they were down we killed the healers and finished off the rest.

Have the rogue spec Throwing Spec, spam FoK on the healers while you burn one down. Save yourself the hassle with CC coordination. Did it like that in 25m and had around 200 interupts for the whole fight while spamming one key. Use it before it gets nerfed

it rly does work out very well and 1 has holy offspec and switches around depending on wut he feels is mostly helpful at the time

As a rogue all i did was spam fok with wound poison + criplling poison , it kept the melee slowed and the heals to a minimum .Everything else was piece of cake.

    FoK applies Poison? Nice :-D

Breaks Sheep/Fear though... also are 8 yards enough?

My guild found that (at least on 25) a fear bomb at the very start (Psychic Scream, Intimidating Shout) was a great way to scatter everyone and make CC targets and the like more obvious, plus get healers out of range of targets.

Also, one thing we noticed: The healers will do their utmost to heal the pets of the Hunter and Warlock. Keeping one DPS with a MS effect on them can really divert the healer attention off the main DPS target.

also: dispell and interrupt as much as possible, both offensive and defensive. i remember seeing a strategy vid about it that mentioned about 300 dispells and 400 interrupts.

Yes it does apply poison , even non damaging poisons .And it doesnt matter if it brakes cc , on 10 men at least , when most your targets receive 50 % less heals and 70% less speed .Not to mention the interrupts , untill 3.2.2 at least.

Neat! What about the 8 Yards range? Is that enough?

    Re: toc champions - thinktank

This boss was quite easy, we had possible the worst setup (apart from druids) ever.

    Resto Druid
    Resto Druid
    Balance Druid
    Resto Shaman
    Enchance Shaman
    Warlock
    Warlock
    Deathknight Tank
    Retri Pala
Arms Warrior (not specced for -50% healing)

    vs

    Holy Priest
    Holy Pala
    Rogue
    Enhc Shaman
    Mage
    Boomkin

For a start we had no 1 that could apply any -healing debuff.

Started off, cycloning both healers nuked rogue, then switched cyclones, then alternated war stomp, rogue dead.

We then put 2 interupters on both healers (still spamming cc on healers) nuked shaman (enhc shaman), after that all we had left was Boomkin, Mage and 2 healers, boomkin and mage didnt do much so we started to take down healers, and thats it.

Its easy enough without rogue spamming fok etc really any group can do it aslong as they remember to use all their spells

    Re: toc champions - thinktank

a prot tank can effectively lock down a healer with both interrupts and stuns, so if you have two healers and two prot tanks you've basically got 4 DPSers to deal with, focus the one that's the most threat (we took down the rogue on ours) and use CC on the others where possible. I also pop intimidating shout at the start so most of them arnt able to do shit for a a good few seconds so everyone else can sort their targets.

    we were fighting agains:

    Resto shaman
    Holy paladin
    Deathknight
    Mage
    Warrior
    Hunter

The way we killed them was:

Nuke the shaman (pop all CD's and BL) till the pala pops shield on him. dispell the shield and kill the shaman. then go take out the DK, Then the warrior, kill the paladin. kill the mage and then the hunter.

took us several tries to finally take them down, it was an hard setup, thats why blizz is gonna nerf it.
