About that worgen mount...

I'm not saying that WoW is copying WAR (not at all, to be honest. I hate war >_>)
But here is what we are expecting the Worgen mount to look like



Now take a look at the orc mount in warhammer

Should we be expecting our worgen mount to look like this? I mean it is pretty nice.

As i said before, i am not saying they coppied war. Boar mounts are very common in fantasy games, i merely wanted to show what some expect it to look like by using a mount from an already finished game.

Actually, they look quite different to me. There are a few similarities (scrawny tails and armored heads), but there are also a number of large differences (the mouth is different, the fur is much longer, and the overall body build is fairly different).

Someone on the WoW General forums posted that it was a Barghest, and after a little googling I could see it.

They look very different toi me, whilst the WAR one is clearly a Boar, the Worgen one looks almost half bird half boar, the Fur is much longer and has a bird-like style to it, and the mouth looks almost like a split beak. Still looks epic to me, can't wait for it, I'll be naming mine Stormhoof

It is definitely inspired by the Barghest.

In the novel Forge of the Mindslayers by Tim Waggoner, a Barghest is described as a lupine beast with blue tinged fur, a 'goblin-ish' face, and human hands. It can shapeshift into a goblin.

That could be interesting, ha.

Barghest Hound is one of the minions of the vampire.

I'm in LOVE with that gothic victorian turn of the century feel to it. I can't wait to role worgen. Also, a nitpick at your siggy.. It's not newfound D: they've been cursed for years. :3 sorry for that x.x

Body shape similar? Not really... It's more similar to the boar from WAR than the barghest. The back of the body is so thin. But even if it was, everything else is totally different.

Anyway, I guess we will have to wait and see of what it really is and what is called.
