    To people who use "Gobby"...

It was funny at first, but now it is just annoying. In australia it means something different.

    "Adjective
    gobby (comparative gobbier, superlative gobbiest)
(British, slang, said of a person) frequently and loudly criticising other people.
I hate that Sandra — she's a right gobby cow."

    From gob,

"gob (countable and uncountable; plural gobs)
(countable) A lump of soft or sticky material.
(countable, British, Aust, New Zealand, Irish, slang) The mouth.
He's always stuffing her gob with fast food.
    Oi, you, shut your gob!
She's got such a gob on her - she's always gossiping about someone or other.
    ..."

From Irish and/or Scottish Gaelic gob (“beak, bill”).

    ....

    What?
Sounds like a goblin to me (presuming that is what gobby is used for, never heard it before...).
