Hit-capped, Exp-capped (SoV), 4piece, 10k dps.

I know that Mining doesn't do anything for dps, but my MS is tank and I have other important reasons not to drop it.

Vindication should stay too.

Also heroic 25mans are not likely to happen for me anytime soon.

I still gemming 10crit/10str for +4 str bonus, but already high on crit (46.5%) and wonder about that diminishing returns.

8/10 although i would suggest you to get the strength ring from Ashen as you got agility cloak, or get Winding sheet from rotface and keep agil ring, as you're crit is high, also i'd say get t10 shoulders, better then your current ones(you dont need 8% hit anyway).

Have it. It's 10 less dps. Can't help it, agi items are still bis even this close to 50% crit.

It will put me below 8% hit and -56 dps by Rawr.
I'm not Draenai and there is no guarantee space goat will be at my group when raiding (it's party-wide, not raid-wide).

Trinkets are just fail for a heroic 25man raider.
Also pally tanks should take care of DS/DG, since they can take DG and make this combo actually useful. AM is a better choice for non-vindicating rets or so I heard.

I realize im over hit cap a fair bit but its all from gear at the moment.
Im in a 10 man casual guild so gear isnt the greatest, but I try to pug 25 ICC every week and hopefully be getting a Shadows Edge soon. I'll also be getting 4P T10 by the end of week.

yes im WAY over hit cap atm. BUT as soon as i get a tier token i will be useing tier chest+festergut gloves and will be at where i should be for hit.

Yeah, as you said, you're way over the hit cap. But on the overall, it's pretty decent! Your gems are correct, although i put my nightmare's tear in my t10 legs, which allowed me to grab the gem bonus.

I do not raid very often right now. It might change in a near future, but right now i still have some pretty indecent emblem gear. I got the bloods for the shadow's edge, but the saronites' farm is quite time consuming to me, so...i don't have this shiny axe yet.


Also, i finally registered to mmo-champion! It's my first post here, and English is not my native language so, sorry if my posts are a filled with horrible grammar mistakes or bad formulations. I hope to contribute well to this community, though.

Got my 5pc T10 but sadly the chest i'm currently wearing is better.... waiting on the tiny aboms to drop and my guild to get there shit together so i can get into heroic icc

i would say you're right about Aura mastery, been trying it, usually running 11/5/55 though, and about trinkets, i lost Deaths verdict 16 times, don't wanna talk about it (also got Deathbringers will which is better then DMC according to EJ, although im not too keen about that)\
and WFS never dropped for me o_o

I've been looking at a lot of armorys here and there and the most common thing i see is the STR ashen verdict ring. WHY? Please do the ret paladin community a favor and replace it with the agility one. It is substantially better then the str one. Another common thing i see, is picking the plate dps hit belt from frost badges when you are hit capped already. Don't just buy a belt because it's plate. If you are hit capped and need a belt, go ahead and buy Vengeful noose. It's not a bad belt compared to the belt off Putricide which should be the one you are aiming for if you aren't trying to get the one off dreamwalker. I noticed this when a random ret paladin on my server saw me wearing vengeful noose and he proceeded to criticize me for not knowing how to gear my character. I laughed at him and told him I'd try harder. Also i see a lot of people still asking which trinkets are better. These are the trinkets copied from Elitist Jerks from best to worst. I also added a few of the older/newer trinkets to help with the less geared characters.

If this is a PvP build, you really want that extra point in Unyeilding Faith and 2 in Guardian's Favor.

If it's not, you should be getting Aura Mastery, Vindication or Divine Sacrifice (it's hardest of the three to use properly though) for raid utility. You also should be glyphing Seal of Vengance, because even though you have high expertise, you aren't capped.

Gear wise I'm only going to give you PvE advise:
Rings, change your Ashen Band to Agility, and look for any hit free ring as your second, doesn't matter if it's strength or agility.
Cloak, is crap. Get one with crit and/or haste (there are really good ones with both in 10 and 25 man ICC). When you replace this, enchant the new one with haste.
Neck and Bracers, PvP as you said.
Helmet, you will actually see a DPS increase from your T9 helmet even if it's 232 because the set bonus is amazing. Next time, put an agility/crit damage meta in it (use a Nightmare Tear to get the blue requirement). That run speed doesn't stack with Pursuit of Justice.

I'm going to give you a 6/10, but don't take it harshly, use the advice you get and you'll go up a few points.

Pretty nice gear. The only changes I can see are to switch your cloak enchant from haste to 23 Agility (per point it is a slim dps increase), and if possible, drop DG for AM or Vindication- This depends on your raid comp, but Divine Guardian without it being improved makes it the weakest of the utility options for Ret Paladins to obtain.

This is a level 70 Paladin, but I'm almost at 80 anyway so might as well start doing things right at this stage.

Yes, I know I have some tank gear.
