Mirror Vs. Fury

For some reason, and i don't know why, but a guildy said mirror was better for a ret paladin then Fury of The Five Flights. Don't quite understand why except he said the proc will fall off quite a bit in fights which i don't see happening. Any thoughts?

Although there are a good amount of fights where you can use it, always keep mirror in your bags.
