Yeah it helps a lot!!!
The mean reason cos sometimes i didn't switch the pet is becouse i'm lazy! but now i have the proof that is an important dps-gain!

Casting Doomgaurd AFTER the demon switch is important as the Doomgaurd likes to lollygag for some reason every time you do a demon switch. This also gives you the best chance of all you procs lining up come time to summon the Doomgaurd (MWC, Volcanic Potion, Power Torrent, Lightweave, DMC: Volcano).

also this is a good tip!!! but i have a small window of 5 sec with all the buff lined up and pop doomguard... and sometimes i have to "sacrifice" felstorm for summoning my felhunter or my doomguard is going to slacking around for some sec. But i think that is better to sacrifice felstorm instead of some lag of the doomguard!

I will focus on the DEMON DANCE!!

While there's no substitute for a proper rotation (I recommend checking out the affliction sticky for help on that), a few things with your gear I noticed:

I wouldn't gem straight hit (like on your chest), I'd enchant everything with the best enchants (maelstroms/heavenlies aren't too expensive now), get 50 int enchant on your bracers, reforge around hit cap instead of gemming/enchanting for it. Other than that you gear looks good so if you have any logs or a description of what you're doing when you dps would help a lot.

My warlock is an alt i've had at 85 for quite awhile, and recently picked back up to start gearing with new content. I've read over the suggested rotation for affliction (Haunt, Demon soul, BoD, corr, unstable, SB, etc) and have been tinkering with reforging to get my stat weights right. I slip up sometimes, moreso now after the patch screwed with my bar addon and timers, so i miss the refresh on doom or unstable by a second or so occasionally.

I've been around 13-18k in raiding, though my experience is limited to a LFR round or three and a FL alt run. On high AOE pulls (Yor'Saj black slime adds for example,) I do great with Jinxed CoE + Shadowburn Seed + netherflame. On single or small packs I don't do so hot- usually around 11-15k. My damage is inconsistent, I'm not sure if i'm at an odd point in what i'm reforging or my timing is just that far off that i'm clipping too many dots or what have you. It's been a lot of fun trying affliction, however i'm wondering if i could pull more or at least more consistent DPS with destro. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I know some of my gems are undesirable... Right now the server economy sucks and my JC friends are tapped out helping mains get gemmed for progression. I am aware that's a significant impact, but i'm more or less trying to figure out if there's something vital i'm missing that's keeping me subpar.

Hello guys. It's not the first time I write here but last time you helped me a lot so

After 4.3 arrival I thought I would be doing insane dps as demo is ahead on simcraft, I was wrong(probably just in my case). It turned out that I do even less dps than in previous patch.
What I changed is only the filler spell from SB to incinerate. Maby I should change something more, or smth in my gear?

Just glancing it looks like your immolate uptime should be much higher. ISF uptime is somewhat low too.

Basically I am reforged for affliction right now, not demonology. When I reforge for demo i go hit cap, i put my haste at 1618(for an extra immo tick, and then during bloodlust this gives me an extra corruption tick) then dump everything else into mastery. MWC, potion, and meta to start a fight. Potion, meta, MWC, demon soul, and doomguard during bloodlust.

Simcraft, when set to player level "good" and world lag "medium" it says i should do 40.3k DPS. I do 28.5 on a good attempt :S

This may sound like handholding and maybe it is, but I have poured over my character, simcraft, EJ, etc and I cannot find what is wrong

I did not look too much through the logs but a few things i saw that really popped out where:
1. You used Meta/chalice once throughout most of the longer pulls.
2. You used your Felguard the entire time you should use your Felhunter.
3. I don't see a Doomguard used at all (I'm no pro at logs though so i may have missed it.)

I just went from 21 mastery 1200 haste from 17 mastery and 1998 haste since the logs below. I'm yet to test it out. Not sure if it'll help.

I think my biggest problem is my gear and not my rotation, but I'm just at a loss on what to do.

I am curious about my gear/stat priorities atm. I need to figure out how to post logs ect, but for you high raiding demo locks out there, what would you change from my gear/spec choices right now? Do i need to forgo mastery to get my haste up? do i need to regem or find a few different pieces of gear. I am up for all suggestions to min/max as much as possible. This is the first time ive asked for help like this, Any and All Help is greatly apprecaited.

Go with mastery to gloves, int to your bracers, and stop meeting the socket bonus in your boots throw a red gem in there instead. Personally id meet the socket bonuses in your shoulders/chest using 20int/20mastery gems and a 20int 20 hit gem in the chest.

Hey there,

I'm an SV-hunter and need your guys feedback on our Warlock in my 10m group. We cleared Dragonsoul on the second day without problems and prepare for the hardmodes now. Since DPS will be an issue, I want to make shure that everyone in my group is performing well. Everytime I look up on sites like raidbots.com, I see casters putting out pretty impressive numbers. I know that most of them have the legendary equipped, but I still think that our casters should be able to beat me dps-wise, even without the staff.

Hey, First off thank you for taking the time to look at this post. Here goes My best friend an I raid on the same team/guild , and we are casual player that only raid about 6hrs a week, He has been having a hard time since the release of 4.2 with his Dps and getting his number up we have looked at everything and this is are last option to try and see if hopefully a pro LOG reader/warlock can help him, Yes he knows im posting this its not a bash we want to fix his dps. Im going to included his armory and our groups logs for the last month and see if anyone can see what he is doing wrong, I do not have a warlock and I have never played one so i can only help him as far as reading the stuff i find online we will both be checking and reading this post so that in hope he can improve, So as a guild we can all improve.Anything you can see TELL US WHAT IS GOING ON, He has tried everything in the book, and all online resources have been check and still he cant not seem to get his dps up. His comp is new and run fine that should nto be a issue, Please have a look AND FILL FREE TO SPILL OUT ALL THE INFO, He is tired of being low on the poll and want to improve HELP US MMO community we have been long time lurkers of this site and know there are many great player here, Thanks so much for all the help below you will find his armory and the link to are logs.

I took a fast look at the Baleroc fight you did and...
First and foremost he should change his rotation and use Shadowbolt instead of Incinerate as his main casting spell and just cast incinerate when he gains the proc "Molten Core".
And he should have closer to 90% uptime on his dots Corruption and Bane of Doom.

His friend is using the 3/31/7 demo spec which means he is correct in using incinerate over shadowbolt.
@daneker your friends dot times are extremely low on nearly every fight including fights where there isn't much reason for them to be low (baleroc,morchok) he really needs to work on his dot uptime that should help his dps out a lot.

1.Should put int on your bracers, and reforge your wand mastery to haste (you are over the hit cap this should bring you closer and get you a little more haste.)
2.You did not Di anyone
3.Should the one point in Fel synrgy too Pandemic
4.I don't see any pots used i could be mistaken
5.Dot uptime looked pretty good so keep that up, and i don't know how to tell if you used doomguard or not but you should be.

That's what i see from a quick glance hope it helps you improve your numbers!

I have a similar problem like most here... My DPS is waaay too low. I'm playing this warlock now for several weeks in raids and I have studied a lot of Guides according to warlocks, including the guides here and spent some hours beating that bloody dumb target dummy... However, as Simulationcraft is done with crunching the numbers, it tells somewhat in the 30k dps-range for my Warlock. Under real conditions (Ultraxion, for the ease of play) I'm coming up to 24k max with Itemlevel 377, mostly just ending up with 20..22k.

Obviously I'm not playing the warlock at it's best, but the hell... I can't see the error. Perhaps you Warlock-Pro's can point me into the right direction ?

Opening the fight is as follows: (starting with Felguard) Curse of Elements, Corruption, let the Felguard play helicopter, Use Trinket "Soul Casket", Bane of Doom, Shadowflame, Immolate, Hand of Gul'dan. Afterwards I'm spamming Incinerate until Soul Casket is off and fire up the Meta-Macro:
/Use MWC
/Use Volcanic Potion
/cast Demon Soul
/cast Metamorphosis
/cast Soulburn
/cast Summon Doomguard
(may not be correctly translated as I'm German and use the German client, but I'm sure you get the point). Directly afterwards I summon the Felhunter, which is of course instant now.

I keep MWC and Meta synced (simply use that macro above again), and instead calling the Felhunter I cast the instant Soul Fire.
