Shadow changes. Am I getting my hopes up, or are they verified?

What is dps looking like on the PTR? Are shadow priests 'fixed' to the point where I'd enjoy playing them again? Or am I psyching myself up for nothing?

Is the haste screwing with our rotation much?

i think it's safe to bet the changes are goin to be nerfed a bit. i copied my toon over, who isn't geared as good as the pre-mades and was comfortably doing over 5k on the target dummy without trying at all. with no mods or dottimers or any of my macros i use now.

to you and all the other people who say "is this goin to mess up my rotation? qq" it's goin to be the exact same as it always has been, if you watch your dots down the tenth of a second. we don't have a rotation. we have a priority system.

Posted my results comparing Live vs. PTR here last night. The best target dummy DPS I've been able to push is about 5k, or around 8-9% higher than live. Fully raid buffed it should be 10% or a little more (though my gear has around 700 haste - I doubt people with lower levels of haste will see as much of an increase).

Yeah, we kinda do. Dots up at all times, plus the mb mf mf combo. the dots having haste kinda makes the dots tick faster and drop off quicker. im asking if that screws us up too much int he mf part

It's not as dumb a question as it sounds... the haste effect could create a situation where DoTs constantly conflict with MB CDs... as it stands with 2pc T9 I have the occasional DP/MB conflict only, one of the major sources of lost DPS is MB/VT conflicts which are currently a non issue.

From my testing, I think we're in for more changes on the mana management side of things. Even with the shadow word pain buff, I'm still running short on mana a lot quicker then usual.

In terms of a strait DPS increase... yeah, I notice a big difference. It'll be nice to walk into the raid and give that freaking top dog rogue in my guild a run for his money.

I don't know why our "rotation" (lol), would be any different.

Mind Blast will still be priority, and you'll still need to keep your dots rolling 99% of the time... it's just... they'll wear off faster now.

So you'll need to be on the ball a little more.

He didnt say that, he only asked if it will change MUCH or not NOTICEABLE....but i say the more haste u get the more u will notice.

And the real question is: Do this changes go live or not ^_^ Atleast on the next days when Boss Testings are, we will see where the shadowpriests stands.

-Edit- I found a WoL Log from a Guild who killed the first Boss in ICC ( ToGC25 clear)

but i guess this fight favors DoT Classes thats why the Shadow is so high and melees are so "bad" (its like satura from aq40 with her WW)
