My guild uses 7 healers for the fight 2 Pals, 2 shaman, 2 holy pals and a Druid. For tanks we use a Druid MT and a Pal in block gear tanking the adds.
Before we hit phase 3 we have everyone except the tanks take off HP buffs (use a cancel aura macro). this is done because the leaching swarm is based on your HP, the lower your HP the less AA gets healed. Also after everyone's HP is low from the swarm we have ppl pop a frost resist potion so if a healer is slow on heals the person wont fall over on the first tick. If anyone gets Penetrating cold for a 2nd time they are asked to pop a health stone. Last time i checked DBMs warning for the debuff was turned off by default so everyone should turn that on if its still like that.
For Phase 3 healing we have the 2 Pals FULL time on the tanks, the rest get assigned a raid icon to heal Penetrating cold,we all use grid and gridstatusraidicons for easy viewing and targeting of the assigned mark. What i do as a shaman this phase is heal the tanks until Pen. colds go out and i quickly throw out a riptide followed by a LHW on my assigned mark, i then toss a 1 or 2 heals to the tanks before healing the assigned mark again.
As far as the shadow step is concerned we use DBM and a custom player made timer to wait a few seconds before they cast to stun them until DR kicks in.
