Some Priest Questions

Hi im leveling a new priest 77 as of right now. I am leveling disc im just wondering how important spirit is for endgame dungeons and raids. And how much should i be jemming for intellect and spell power?

Spirit isn't important for a disc priest. When raiding you want to gem for intelligence, which is a superior regen stat than spirit, and spellpower. First gem with intelligence and spellpower is what I recon. When you feel that you don't have any more mana problems you can switch your gems to full spellpower. Myself, when healing as disc I got 25k mana as disc and still have only pure spellpower gems, though my gear is very good.

Basically, the more mana you have the more you'll get back from Hymn of Hope, Shadowfiend, Rapture and Mana tide totem. So int is a very good stat.

Would it be too much to say that without Replenishment, I daresay that Int would not be the King of Regen as people so claim it as?

as holy, yes then spirit is better

as disc, not sure, i'm mainly doing 10 mans and often we lack replenishment. i dont oom becouse of the high mana of rapture (24.5kmana unbuffed). i'm pretty sure i would oom if i would stack spirit.

Yeah, rapture should be very high on mana gained. Rapture gives you, under perfect conditions, 2.5% of your total mana every 12 seconds. Replenishment gives you only 2.4% ^^ Still, rapture is very good when it comes to regen. I think we can all agree, though, that a lot of int is good to have, regardless of spec. Disc just gains a little more from it.

Hi there fellow priest! I<ve been playing disc and holy on my priest for a while and this is what i cantell you:

HOLY:
Stack spirit in blue sockets, most of your mana regen comes from it and as an added benifit you'll get SP from it

DISC:
I've never really run out of mana as disc when I use my mana fiend intelligently. Most of you mana "regen" is gonna come from rapture which is based off % of total mana pool so as far as sockets / enchants: Int is far superior to spirit.

As disc i'd go all out in intell
