    Power Aura Imports

Since Scorchio2 seems to be broken in 3.3 I started using power aura to track arcane blast and missile barrage procs. My main is a warrior and I found all the coding to import for slam, blood thirst and whirl wind. I can seem to find the same code strings for an arcane mage. If anyone has them can you please post them. I would appreciate it.

Hmm, where do you get the export strings? I'll go poke around and post mine later when I'm at home.

Thanks. I believe there is an export feature in Power Aura.

Here's my power aura setup. The center top circle shows my AB stack, when it hits 4 the red rings appear signalling me to clear the stack. When missile barrage procs, the blue graphic appears. Both have timers.

The other circles around the center are timers on various buffs/procs, haste buffs/procs on the left (minus hero), spell power buffs/procs on the right

Here's the export for my AB/MBAM proc setup (4 power auras)

    Re: Power Aura Imports

Thanks Here's a couple more screeens of my ui:
    http://www.publicenemyguild.net/arctanui1.jpg
    http://www.publicenemyguild.net/arctanui2.jpg
    http://www.publicenemyguild.net/arctanui3.jpg

It started from a minimalist UI I had downloaded by LUI, available here:
    http://www.wowinterface.com/download...0-LUIv2.0.html

There were some things about this UI I didnt like though so I ended up changing a lot to suit my style. I'm all about efficiency. Not sure how many hours of tweaking I've actually put into it, but it's definitely come a long way. One thing worth mentioning that's not obvious is the panel on the right where all my buffs are actually closes into a discrete button on the side, streamlining the UI even more.

I am a power auras fiend though, so when I got the new UI I decided to totally redo my setup. There's some pretty cool stuff you can do with power auras, and I use them for just about everything. Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out, and it definitely does the job well while lookin extremely sexy IMO. :P

    Re: Power Aura Imports

Thank you for posting that information. I infact finally figured out how to convert the images and set the add-on to track Arcane Blast stacks (counts up to 4) and the amount of time left on the stack. It also tracks Missile Barrage as well. My big accomplishment was getting the correct images to reflect the spell being tracked. I will post an image of my UI when I get home for lunch. I'm not sure exporting the code will allows the images to work since they are local to my PC, but I will try. Really all I was going for was not having to look around the screen to get certain information.

Set it up today and messed with a bunch of stuff, pretty decent layout imo. I've run standard blizzard UI for a while but I figured I'd give this a go. The only thing I can't handle is I dunno how the fuck to change my/enemy health bar colors. Black hp with black deficit is useless, who's the idiot who made this the default!

I also sort of prefer to see actual hp 9especially in pvp) instead of percentages. Any way to change that up? Answer fast I can't look for mod setup guides all day tomorrow too!

    Re: Power Aura Imports

LOL sorry for the late response... yeah I hated that too. The default is nearly impossible to see at a glance which is useless to me, so here's what you do:

-unit frames are done by pitbull, so type /pitbull to open the control panel
-make sure layout editor is selected
-on the right part of the window, under current layout, choose target2
-now click on the bars tab, a bunch of sub-tabs come up
    -click the health bar tab

on this page you can change the color to a custom color with a custom background color, or there are also some options for coloring based on hostility and class. on my UI I have the health bar and power bar both set to color by class, does the job well. For allies it will color both their health and mana bar different shades of their character class. For enemies it will color their health bar dynamically according to their remaining health - from green to red.

try messing around with pitbull some, there's some pretty cool stuff you can do with your unit frames, and if theres something specific that you want a change theres a good chance pitbull can do it if you look around enough.

Also, i dont know about you but I wasnt really a fan of the textures on some of the windows in the LUI UI. You can choose from a ton of different textures for the chat/omen/recount window from the kgpanels control panel (/kgpanels config). Click on active panels, then the window you want to change, then texture options to do that

    Re: Power Aura Imports

To answer your HP question, I set mine up to only show percentages on the bars themselves but their actual values just below. To do that, try this.

    -open up pitbull config.
-go to the layout editor for target2 like before.
-Click on the texts tab. create a new tab called 'health' or something you'll remember (type into the box and then click okay).
-choose attach to: unit frame, and location: outside, below-left
-for code, choose custom, and enter this:

    local max = HP(unit)
    if max > 0 then
    return " %s HP | %s MP ",HP(unit),Power(unit)
    end

You can also just try to change the currently displayed texts using the default codes in the code list. (use current text Geshundheit for the main health bar text)

Alternatively, you can add health and power bars to your tiptac tooltips. Type /tip to access the control panel then click bars, and their checkboxes to activate, and you can also have the values show from that menu.

    Re: Power Aura Imports

    Arctan,

The WTF folder in your WoW directory contains all of your character settings, including addons, UIs, etc.

    WTF\Account\ACCOUNT-NAME\Server-Name\Character-Name

The "Character-name" folder expressed above carries the character specific settings (like addon configuration, channels joined, etc.) that are necessary to exactly replicate your UI, minus a few easily fixed concerns.

Zipping this folder up and making it available for download (along with your Interface\AddOns) folder would allow anyone to nearly exactly copy your UI. I know that I wouldn't mind that, personally.

    Just a thought.

Hear hear! I also play a mage, and your interface would work *perfectly* with my playstyle!

I tried making the changes myself, but I just don't have the obvious artistic flair you apparently do

    Re: Power Aura Imports

    Emaluri,

Good idea- you are right. I considered this as well before beginning those last two posts but I figured I'd at least explain how to work with the addons a bit.

Here are two links. One is a zipped file of my addons folder. The other is the folder that Emaluri mentioned that contains the addon configurations and saved variables.

    http://www.publicenemyguild.net/Arctan-Account.zip
    http://www.publicenemyguild.net/Arctan-AddOns.zip

    Installation:
    1. backup your addons and wtf folder
    2. unzip the arctan-addons.zip file into your interface folder
    3. unzip the arctan-account.zip file into your WTF folder, rename the ACCOUNTNAME, RealmName, and CharacterName folders to match your setup
    4. when you login, it's probably gonna look all messed up. type in /reflux switch LUI and it should fix itself and load my settings for all the addons.
    5. any questions, ask emaluri :P

    Hopefully this helps. Enjoy

Edited to include saved variables folder

  17. #17

    Re: Power Aura Imports

Looks like we're missing the profiles piece.

I think, judging by the default LUI interface, we need the top-level savedvariables located in \wowfolder\WTF\Account\Accountname\Savedvariables.

The reflux command didn't work, and looking in the profiles list only has the "Default" profile defined.

Of course, I could have just spaced and screwed it up :P

Good catch, I changed the post and linked to a new zip file that includes the files you're missing. Hopefully that works.

Looks great, works great! Can't wait to put it to the test tomorrow

    Re: Power Aura Imports

Awesome, I hope you like it. One thing about the UI that I can't figure out is the quartz latency bar is chosen as the class color. Even if I manually change it to another color, the next time I log in it will be back to blue (or pink on my pally). Pretty lame though if you have a blue casting bar with the same color latency bar. If anyone figures this out let me know!
