Was in a group with a freshly dinged 80 warrior yesterday, he only had 25k hp and we wiped one. The healer QQ'd and left the party. Another was found instantly.
Instance was HoL.

1) healing a tank with 20k HP buffed
2) tanking it in ret spec + ret gear
3) tanking it in healing gear + healing spec
4) tanking it in prot spec + ret gear..
you don't need formula for 5man heroics... stop being bad.
to be easy to heal, just get somewhere around 28k HP unbuffed. If you know how to play your class and your healer friend is decent, with buffs you can walk into any random heroics.Originally Posted by Nikoll
you can do it less, but my want to stress on getting a good healer.
I have made things work because I'm an awesome healer. :P but really, it's tough to heal a 20k HP tank with buffs, but it happened before.
more over, I'm recently addicted to tanking in ret gear, running with 28k HP buffed. so lol, you guys can do it.

Heal in Ele spec. I heal in Balance spec if the tank is good enough. A couple hots and a Nourish here and there along with some Hurricane equals a mighty fun run.Originally Posted by Astray

i got bored and put together a "max" armor set given currently available gear, with imp devo up, i got to 38056 armor, 71.4% reduc on lvl 80, 69.6% on 83. pretty much chose the best +armor pieces, +t10.25 helm/shoulders, skeleton key, and h forlorn barrier. just under 43k hp unbuffed, 27 dodge, 22 parry, 11.3 block, exp soft cap, 53 hit. red sockets shifting, yellow enduring, blue solid. pretty decent gearset, but i dont know the math on whether that percentage reduction is worth the hp/avoidance/threat stat loss.
