    Blood-Queen Lana'thel

When fighting Blood-Queen Lana'thel there will come a point towards the end of the fight where you cannot bite anyone anymore, and you WILL get MC'd by her.

    My question is weather;
    1) it's better to keep DPS'ing, get MC'd and then the raid must CC/kill you
    2) go somewhere and die (ie. those fire-thingies) so the raid can keep DPS'ing/healing

At that point, if you have nobody else to bite, you're probably close to the enrage and you'll most likely wipe.
But, I'd recommend killing yourself instead of going on a murderous rampage on your friends.

When you're in the "frenzy" and have to bite someone, your action bar gets replaced and the only ability you'll have on it will be "bite".

So you CAN'T continue DPSing even if you wanted to.

Hopefully that will clear things up a little. Yes that is for 10 man but it's the same idea for 25 just scaled up. The important thing to notice is that once you bit somebody, you KEEP THE BUFF for another full duration. This means that around the 4 minuute mark, on 10 man 8/10 of your people will have the buff. All of their buffs should expire around the same time (+/- a few seconds) and then all 8 people will get MC'd. This acts as the fight's enrage timer. You can't have them die because 8 people dieing would be just as bad as 8 MCs (on 10 man...just scale it up for 25).

At the point where you are going to get MC'ed, some people can kill themselves, but not all should, as at the time when you have 8 people that need to bite someone, two of them will be able to bite people, so assuming you play it smart, you can keep 1 healer, 1 dps, and both tanks alive past that buff timer, possibly granting the last few seconds of dps required to kill her, although I'm sure enrage will come shortly after.

Also, i have a few questions for Blood Queen myself:
    - (1) How many tanks are used on 25man? (ie, does her blood mirror chain onto a third target)
    - (2) Can anyone confirm that the first bite of the encounter goes onto the person third on aggro? if its true (ive heard a few people saying it) then planning the bite targets become trivial

If you sacrifice the first person to get the bite, at the vary end of the buff, you gain 1 min on the hard enrage timer. Just have them stand in fire, or on top of the MT with the OT a bit further away, brez them and pew pew.

It is easiest if the first person who gets it dies in a fire when they are about to be mced and then gets brezed if you have a druid makes the soft enrage about 1 min longer and drastically reduces the dps requirement.

    Not true.... at all.

The hard enrage occurs at most 15 seconds after the last group's essence wears off (at which point they have 10 seconds to bite someone or get MCd). The very earliest that anyone can get MC'd is 5 seconds before the hard enrage. This is because of the changes made on 10 and 25 man. This is also without having anyone sacrifice themselves (again, because of the changes made). But if you factor in human delay, it is very likely that no one will be MCd until after the hard enrage.

tldr: No one needs to die.

    Re: Blood-Queen Lana'thel

With the additional time added onto the Blood Queen Essence buff, there is no longer any merit in having someone die during the encounter. This is true for both 10 and 25 man.

DPS requirement for this fight is not very high, if you are executing perfectly but not meeting the 5:30 hard enrage, then either your dps is not geared enough or you have bad dps.

Factoring in the damage buff gained from being a vampire, the DPS needed per player BEFORE vampire buffs is 8,144 with six healers. So yeah not bad but higher than Putricide or Festergut, which is all it can reasonably be compared to.

So yeah, not very high only the highest DPS requirement of any fight currently available in the game. Whether any fight currently in the game is tuned properly for what people can currently do is up for debate.

you get 50 more seconds on 25 man version and 1 minute more on 10 man version before people become mc.
