    Reflective Shield

Just a quick question about this talent.

I thought that it would reflect damage back on any shield that i cast.

Someone told me that it only applies to shields that i put on myself.

So before i put points into I'd like to check.

    Who's right?

It truly once reflected dam on every shields you cast regardless of target, but not anymore. Blizz admitted they couldnt make it work as intended, so they scraped it after like 2 patchs.

Imagine life now if it would, though... Shield spamming on raid members in a fight w/ constant raid damage could yield 2.5-3k DPS

The spell tooltip is quite explicit I think. Only on yourself, noone else. Were you going to have it for a PVE template?

I thought the same thing for the longest time, all through BC and about 1/2 of cata.

The other person is right, it only reflects hits you take, sorry =(

It DID reflect damage from everyone for the longest time in BC and I think even in LK still. But then some bug happened with it an rapture I think and instead of fixing the bug they changed it so it would only reflect damage from yourself. Meh.

I was always under the impression it was changed because it was too powerful, destorying Rogues and such who have fast swing timers. Even though it did the same damage either way, it would do it quicker to Rogues and Feral Druids etc.

On reflection, shields did get a bit of a bashing PvP side, Warrior gain rage through them (Ret Paladins do not get mana back if their Judgement is absorbed, unless they fixed it) and they no longer work on other members.
