    Blizzard sucks at cloth itemization

Anyone else noticing the terrible itemization on cloth gear? Just about every piece has +hit on it, and even the new caster dps trinket has +~120 hit on it. I'm not sure what Blizzard is thinking, or whether or not they forgot most casters only need 10% hit + raid buffs / talents, but that's all we need.

Casters need more hit than anything else for their special abilities to hit.

Even rogues only need 8% for their specials (More if they have talents, and I honestly have no clue if they do). Casters need 17% without talents.

He's not permitted to comment on the portion of your post attacking the trinket? If that part isn't up for discussion, why has it been included?

Also, god forbid you have other slots that might not have hit so you can juggle them around!

If your getting every piece of hit gear thinking "Hey, this must be the best DPS gear!" your doing something wrong.

Every slot has, that i have seen, has a "Spellpower/Crit/Haste" "Spellpower/Spirit/Crit" and "Spellpower/Spirit/Haste".

    Which itemisation do you want??

Re: Blizzard sucks at cloth itemization

I love the hit on caster gear. Capping out on hit used to be a massive chore, now it is pretty easy since you can mix and match drops, badge gear and crafts. Many casters need about 446-ish +hit to cap out. Until then, hit is more valuable than your other DPS stats. Shadow Priests have it easy and only need 290 +hit to cap out with talents, and even for them hit dominates as the largest contributing DPS stat until it is capped. Live it, love it; hit it, don't skip it. Stack the hit and don't miss the crits!

I'm only interested in your title.

you think cloth gear with hit sucks, and thus blizzard sucks at cloth itemization?

    think about elemental shaman.
99.99% of MAIL caster gear has MP5 on it.
99.98% of Leather gear has SPIRIT on it.
99.97% of Cloth gear has SPIRIT on it.

99.96% of statistic are made on the spot. but you get my point.

Spirit helps Warlocks and Spriests get SP, and Mages get crit.

    How is that bad?

    Cloth -- added in 3.3, hit rating = 0

    No it doesn't.

2/5 T10 has hit rating (for dps sets) (pants/gloves)
4/18 ilvl 251 (non-tier) cloth has hit rating.

    Other ilvls have similar ratios.

You're getting unlucky on drops or something.

I may look busy, but I'm just confused.

Re: Blizzard sucks at cloth itemization

I got one cloth with hit on it therefor 100% of cloth items have hit on it

mmo should implement some kind of math test before allowing ppl to post about drop rate / itemization

Re: Blizzard sucks at cloth itemization

There are a few peices of gear that drop off the first 4 bosses that have SP/Crit/Hit on them.
However there are a TON that have SP/haste/Crit SP/crit/Spirit.

Maybe you need to progress further?
