    Re: Rogue Macros

    I use this one for tricks:
    Code:
    #showtooltip Tricks of the Trade
    /cast [help][@focus,help][@mouseover,help][@targettarget,help]Tricks of the Trade
    And here's an explanation of what it does, pretty damn cool site

    Re: Rogue Macros

    is this a bad macro?, so far i never had any problems with it.

    /target (name here)
    /use Tricks of the Trade
    /assist

    i am normaly the only rog in the raid, so, im only using it on tanks.

    Re: Rogue Macros

    I may be completely wrong, but you can't /cast Cannibalize and /cast !Stealth. Stealth will cancel Cannibalizing. Although I've never macro'd it together. Could we get a confirmation on this? I'm not able to test atm

    Very helpful everyone! thanks.

    Thanks Annoying for the Egnineering gloves/envenom one, it is helping me utilize it on every CD without straining my eyes.

    Re: Rogue Macros

    LF Assistance!
    I'd like to utilize my TotT as often as possible through a marco similar to the Hyperspeed marco:

    #showtooltip Envenom
    /use 10
    /cast Envenom

    I have the 2 set T10 bonus and would like to be getting the 15 energy as much as possible!
    Currently, i use /focus "target" on another rogue or dps... and use:

    #showtooltip Tricks of the Trade
    /cast [target=mouseover,exists] Tricks of the Trade; [target=focus,exists,noharm] Tricks of the Trade; Tricks of the Trade

    Is there a way to infuse tricks into my Mutilate?.. I've tried a few and failed (as seen below) vv
    #showtooltip Mutilate
    /cast [target=focus,exists,noharm] Tricks of the Trade;
    /cast Mutilate

    ^^That marco will cast tricks.. but no Mutilate.. can someone help please?..i fail :S

    Also, please let me know if you think it is a good idea.. ty

    Re: Rogue Macros

    I haven't tested it, but take out the semicolon.

    #showtooltip Mutilate
    /cast [target=focus,exists,noharm] Tricks of the Trade
    /cast Mutilate

    =============================

    =============================
    #showtooltip Envenom
    /cast Cold Blood
    /cast Envenom

    Nice for both PvE and PvP
    =============================

    =============================

    /cast [nostealth] !Cannibalize;
    /cast [nocombat] !Stealth; Vanish

    don't quote me on this, but i don't think its possible to have a spamable tricks macro, due to tricks activating a GCD.

    Re: Rogue Macros

    ok heres a few weapon swapping macros for killing spree,deadly throw and FoK

    #showtooltip Killing Spree
    /cast Killing Spree
    /equipslot 17 (weapon name)
    /equipslot 17 (previous weapon name)

    this is ideal to swap your OH fast weapon for a slow high end Dmg weapon
    (you do have to press the macro again once KS is finished)

    =======================================================

    #showtooltip Deadly Throw
    /equipslot 18 (throw weapon name)
    /cast Deadly Throw
    /stop Casting
    /equipslot 18 (previous weapon name)

    ========================================================

    #showtooltip Fan of Knives
    /cast Fan of Knives
    /equipslot 16 (dagger name)
    /equipslot 17 (dagger name)
    /equipslot 16 (previous weapon name)
    /equipslot 17 (previous weapon name)

    again this has to be pressed twice to get back to your previous weapons,it can take a little practice and this is mainly for combat to swap to daggers for the imp dmg from FoK

    Re: Rogue Macros

    Some if not all of these have probably been posted, but...

    /cast [@focus] Tricks of the Trade

    The above is usable when you have the tank or other rogue on Focus.

    /equipslot 16 [button:1] Main-Hand Weapon 1
    /equipslot 17 [button:2] Off-Hand Weapon 1
    /equipslot 16 [button:1] Main-Hand Weapon 2
    /equipslot 17 [button:2] Off-Hand Weapon 2

    The above macro will swap between two mainhand weapons on L-click, and two offhand weapons on R-click. It doesn't look like it would work that way, but it does. Awesome macro.

    /use [button:1] Instant Poison IX; Deadly Poison IX
    /use [button:1] 16; 17

    The above macro will apply Instant Poison IX to your mainhand weapon on L-click, and Deadly Poison IX to your offhand weapon on R-click.

    /use [button:1] Instant Poison X; Deadly Poison X
    /use [button:1] 16; 17

    The above macro functions like the previous one, but for the Cataclysm poisons.
    God; I hate you people.

    Re: Rogue Macros

    Modified Version of the makro Kraitos posted:

    #showtooltip
    /cast Fan of Knives
    /equipslot 16 (dagger name)
    /equipslot 17 (dagger name)

    next makro, as a combination:
    #showtooltip
    /equipslot 16 (Previous MainhandWeapon)
    /equipslot 17 (Previous OffhandWeapon)
    /cast Sinister Strike

    By doing this, you don't risk to waste 60 Energy to another FoK. Instead you start right of your rotation with the most pushed button. If you already have 5 Combopoints and don't want to waste 40 Energy on a SS, I'd recommend you to press the Sinister Strike Makro, durin the Global Cooldown of your last FoK. As a result you swap your weapons but don't use a style-attack.
    I use this Makro combination for the SaurfangHC encounter to apply a unique 70% slow to the blood beasts by putting crippling poison on two seperate daggers in my bag. Watch the timer, star to pool your energy when there're about 3 seconds left and simply say hello to the new blood beasts with two FoK attacks.

    Re: Rogue Macros

    #showtooltip Stealth
    /cancelaura Stealth

    Very basic, but I like it to get Overkill on trash and even on bosses where moving to the boss mitigates the damage you deal with garrote/ambush. I usually just got into stealth and then hit that right afterwards, don't have to worry about that delay anymore.

    Immediately canceling stealth and resuming autoattacking after vanish for overkill will net you more dps than wasting energy on garrote/ambush. add "/startattack" to the bottom of that and you'd be golden.

    Re: Rogue Macros

    #showtooltip Sinister Strike
    /cast Sinister Strike(Rank 12)
    /target volatile
    /target gas

    Great for Putricide fight, easier than tabbing around for the slime guys

    /castsequence reset=65 Blade Flurry, Adrenaline Rush

    Basically just a simple Blade and AR macro, the reset pops up just as blade is about to be ready before you can use AR again

    I have been trying forever to get a macro to have killing spree, blade flurry and adrenaline rush in the same macro to allow them to be used when the cd is ready, but can't seem to get one that works. Anyone got any ideas?

    The macro there tells the game to cast TOTT if a focus is up, otherwise use Mutilate... So you have to remove the focus after every tott to mutilate again.

    /cast Tricks of the trade; Mutilate could work without knowing.
    /castsequence tricks of the trade, mutilate should work for sure, but requires some faster button mashing!

    None of those would work. The first one would always try to cast tricks of the trade, and the second one would tricks->mutilate, then get hung up on tricks till it's available again.

    The only effective way to "infuse" tricks would be:
    /cast [modifier:alt] Tricks of the Trade; Mutilate

    This would allow for tricks to be used with the alt modifier pressing the same key. There is currently no way to have a mashable, thoughtless tricks/mut macro.

    Re: Rogue Macros

    I am surprised that nobody posted this one:

    Tricks of the Trades Target Macro
    This is a two macro system, One macro to cast Tricks of the Trade and another to set the target of that macro.
    NOTE: The set macro cannot be used in combat since the game will not allow macro editing during combat.

    Step 1: Create a blank macro named TotT
    Step 2: Create the following macro named as you please, for this example SeTTotT
    Code:
    /run ToT = UnitName("target")
    /run if not InCombatLockdown() then EditMacro('TotT', nil, nil, '#showtooltip\n/cast [target='.. ToT ..'] Tricks of the Trade', nil); print('Tricks of the Trade set to : ' .. ToT); else print('Cannot change TotT now!'); end;
    Usage :
    Target the player you want to set as your Tricks of the Trade recipient and use the set macro (SeTTotT), you will see a chatlog message confirming the macro worked.
    Use the TotT macro whenever you want to use Tricks of the Trade.
    So, basicaly, you just target a tank of your choice and hit the "Target" macro (second one) OUT OF COMBAT (important!) and then just hit ToTT (first) one during the encounter. No matter what if you are slapping boss/beating adds/flirting with the gnome at the moment - it will cast ToTT on the person you'd targeted with the "Target" macro.

    I can't imagine raiding without it.

    Re: Rogue Macros

    Rather than worrying about a macro that edits another macro out of combat, I stick with a standard tricks macro and this for raids:

    /focus [@mouseover,exists]

    I end up swapping my tricks target like 5 times on heroic LK, so having something to change it mid-fight is a plus if your raid needs it.

    Re: Rogue Macros

    Here are some of the macros that I use:

    ==============================================================

    #showtooltip Sinister Strike
    /startattack
    /use Sanctified Shadowblade Gauntlets
    /cast sinister strike

    You can switch this out with any combo point builder. The gloves has Hyperspeed Acceleration on them.

    ==============================================================

    /startattack
    /cast fan of knives

    Easy spammable fan of knives macro that automatically targets an enemy.

    ==============================================================

    /target desiredplayername
    /cast tricks of the trade
    /targetlasttarget

    A tott macro that I use and it seems to work fairly well.
