    Some of my favorites: Blind Guardian, Candlemass, Anathema, Demons & Wizards, Agalloch, Funeral, Borknagar, Doom:VS, Crom, Evoken, Iron Savior, Lamented Souls, Falkenbach, Persuader, Swallow The Sun, Reverend Bizarre, Primordial, Bathory, Skepticism, Porcupine Tree, Mournful Congregation, Monolithe, Isole, Rapture, October Tide, Thyrfing.

    Back when I was around 13-14 (awkward stage, hurrdurr) I had a friend who introduced me to power metal, the music really blended well with my interest in fantasy art and literature. Kinda branched out from there as I grew up, steadily discovering more sub-genres to enjoy.

    I was lucky enough to get out to Dusseldorf over the weekend to catch Any Given Day play at a club with Sonic Syndicate, I have to say I was extremely impressed with their live performance.



    Here was their 'breakthrough' track, in which they covered Rhianna's Diamonds. I think its a fantastic cover in all honesty.



    Cannot wait for their album to be released in September. I'm hoping to get out to the release show in Berlin, which should be out of this world.
