Nice suggestions btw. Been looking into some more funeral and death doom myself lately, could post stuff at some point. Anyway, have to post another one from this masterpiece:
If you don't know this already, check the entire album (The Clouds Are Burning) out, it's a dutch (blackened) funeral doom band with some occasional "post-" elements.
They share some members with Akelei if you know it. If you dont then look that up on bandcamp as well, their debut can be DL'd for free (though Akelei is more of a melodic atmospheric doom thingy, not funeral).
This album is one of the current contenders for AOTY for me.
Also nice to see I'm having success with Om :P
To people who say they liked it, look up this band if you don't know them already:
They are a sort of sludge/stoner/doom/post group made up of members from Om, Neurosis, Melvins etc. and its kind of huge.

Haven't seen any Mayhem yet, unless I missed some earlier. This is one of my favorites, 7 minutes of unrelenting thrash.
Hellhammer
w0t he said. ^
Mayhem is pretty much the quintessential Black Metal band. There's a whole slew of bands where it might be questionable what exact form of metal they play. Mayhem is not one of them.
That said, I do know they've been posted a few times at least. Ordo in particular seems to be a popular album to show up in here.
I donno why but i can't stand the newest Mayhem records. I guess I'll stick to the trve kvlt stuff:
Not extremely keen on the Maniac stuff. Ordo is exceptional though.
There's nothing quite like blasting Mastodon in the mornings when you're vacuuming the house.
Speaking of Mastodon
Amazing album
They're (short for They are) describes a group of people. "They're/They are a nice bunch of guys." Their indicates that something belongs/is related to a group of people. "Their car was all out of fuel." There refers to a location. "Let's set up camp over there." There is also no such thing as "could/should OF". The correct way is: Could/should'VE, or could/should HAVE.

Something a bit different from my usual fare:
Probably the best avantgarde metal cd ever, at least it's my favourite:
Post-metaaaaaaaal.
