It's very good. Doesn't have the monstrous fucking riffs of Paracletus, but they are still huge.

Definitely better and more memorable than Synarchy, which was a great record in every way, shape or form. Definitely requires multiple listens.

May is an absolutely crazy month with all these releases. New Misthyrming yesterday, DsO today and just as I got done listening to it this popped up in my recommendations:

Just finished this one myself, quite liked it! I've been waiting for a more blackened goth sound, it syncs really well and makes for a rather nice atmosphere. Definitely going on my list for the year!

I liked the second track more than the first. It's a great EP though, I like the Dark Souls theme. If you care for some more Dark Souls themed stuff check these guys out https://firelink.bandcamp.com/ (melo death/black). I thought it was a decent album.

Also about that Paladin album: I liked it but it feels way too long for what they are doing. It might grow on me though.

I'll check that band out. The Visigoth EP is great; the second track better than the first (plus the Dark Souls theme is just a nice bonus). Paladin album is quite diverse, the length doesn't really bother me.

The whole Batushka drama is retarded. Surely, at some point, one of the two Batushka's is in for a name change, and it probably isn't Dabrikowski's (seeing as he's the main song writer - then again who knows what a legal mess this shit is).

Bart's been told to knock it off by the Polish court. He's ignored it and signed to Metal Blade (who, frankly, are incredibly stupid to even get involved with either of them before this whole mess is sorted out). He's even touring under the Batuskha name, much to my chagrin as they've been booked by some places I thought had better bookers.

In a new bizarre twist, Bartłomiej “Bart” Krysiuk apparently has the right to the Batushka band name, and not Drabikowski. One can but wonder what that shitty Metal Blade's influence has been.
