The new Cult of Luna album is indeed pretty good; still gotta listen to Serpent Column. I remember really disliking the previous White Ward album, so I doubt I'll bother with that.

That Atlantean Kodex is one of my favorite albums so far this year.

I've came to realization that all kinds of heavy and metal music trains your nervous system to be fired up for no real reason.
Cortisol pumps all over the place, you get adrenal fatigue over time(baldness, limp dick, legs problems). Fuck this shit i've switched to night jazz and light blues.
Music is supposed to heal, not to damage nervous system and endocrine system.

Not to hate, just a friendly warning from a former metalhead.

What the..? Are you actually for real with this crap?

The problem might be in you, not the music. I believe metal and more importantly hardcore saved me as I was rather prone to depression. I find the content very empowering actually - not turning a blind eye on the real issues, instead acknowledging and embracing them to seek self-improvement.

I struggled to find my own place as I hated the stupid party life and then I found hardcore. I don't call myself straight edge but I never lighten up a cigarette, took any drug and completely quit alcohol. If this isn't a change for the better, then I don't know what is.

It's me, I'm the user that's sitting here white knuckling while listening to metal with my adrenal gland constantly operating at 100% frying my limp dick, receding my hairline and causing leg problems(?).

Assassinating you tenderly with even more raw black:
    1. Geheimnisvoll - Venomous Sorcery Through Hidden Darkness.
    2. Seiðr - Intethedens Afsky.
    3. Ventre Maligno - ...trough flaming wind and serpent rain...
    4. Vrörsaath - Moonlight's Wrath.
    5. Ombrage - Witchsickle Swung Low.
    6. Dyphtê - Psychopompe.
    7. Black Earth - Gnarled Ritual of Self Annihilation.
    8. Вампырь - Nightcurse.

A pity that most people will never realize that such projects/albums even exist. Asking earnestly, have you encountered raw black at all on the popular Youtube aggregators like BMP/ABMA?

  7. #9147
Not that I can recall, those channels usually post atmoblack, meloblack or decently produced straight up bm. I find most of my raw bm from bandcamp, friends on discord or RYM.

Odium Nostrum is probably the closest channel I know. Though he's more interested in Disso-Black like DsO.

  9. #9149

    2. Abhartach - Demo II.
    3. Kruor Noctis - Craven Whispers.
    4. Abamath - Caress of the Dark Moon.
    5. Heiðinn - Chapter I: In the Light of Mourning.
    6. Pestilentia Urbis - Maceratio Auditus.

You should share your findings here too, at the same time you can check out mine. From instance from the latest batch above, half are raw black (#2, #3, #7, #8).

I have today, thanks to you; I was listening to this album while I've concocted this round of updates, in fact. And this is why you should share here the interesting bits you come across, exploring the sheer number of low profile black metal projects is too much of a burden to carry alone. The deeper they sink, the farther the popular aggregators on YT (or wherever else) fall behind.

So what about that new Schammasch album? I didn't quite expect that.

And some kick ass thrash metal - yeah these guys aren't reinventing the wheel, and it's pretty much Kill 'em all on crack but it sure kicks ass.

Finally had a listen to the Disillusion ablum, and even though I doubted I would like it, I gotta admit I enjoyed it.

For a second I thought it was released already. But it's only Nov 8th.

What did release, however, were the new Teitanblood (absolutely beastly) and the new Sun Worship. That one is probably going to end up high on my EoY list.

Much like before, the following are not names you're likely to recognize. I don't know if anyone (but me, insert a cackle here) actually parses such lists of suggestions/updates/PSAs, perhaps their sole utility is making easier for myself to remember what I've listened to (and enjoyed) and what not. Well, I guess it would be nice not to reiterate one soliloquy after another; given the particular nature of my preferences, however, I'm not surprised that many people simply don't bother with my pings. That's quite alright.
    1. Die Schwarze Sonne - Sisällä vain pimeää.
    2. Sermon of Flames - Heralds of the Untruth.
    3. Hindsby - Hindsby.
    4. Obsidian Dawn - Echoes of a New Dawn.
    5. Förgjord - Syntiinlankeemus.
    6. Miraak - Miraak.
    7. Blattaria - Life Is a Disease.
    8. Hajduk - Природа.
    9. Abkehr - In Feuer.
    10. Asthenic Syn - Neuroleptic Strangulation.

Listening now. It's sonically an improvement over Vertikal for certain.

I tend to live under a rock about all things, and am late to everything, but Black Tongue's Nadir certainly has some moments on it.

The latest MW and QR releases are nice, really. I listen to them, I enjoy them... then I return to my beloved raw black. I must be beyond redemption, hehe.
    1. Tyranni - Baron av avoghetens smärta.
    2. Tome of the Unreplenished | Starless Domain - Epistolary of the Fall.
    3. Valac - Leaning Toward Bitter Misery.
    4. Minenwerfer - Alpenpässe.
    5. Qayin Regis - Doctrine.
    6. Occelensbrigg - Glacial Conjuration.
    7. Wald Krypta - Where None Remain.
