Star Trek Online, boring already?

You think there just gonna make an unbelievable MMO after their other terrible MMO's like City of Heroes/Villains & Champions Online?
Seriously theres only a few companies out there that have the potential to make a good MMO, theres way to much hard work and money involved.
ActivisionBlizzard still #1 by a long shot.

those videos were so full of win. i laughed so hard. The Janeway and Chakotay commentary was pure awesomeness.

I played the beta for a couple of days. The space battles provided some amount of enjoyment but not something I'd be willing to spend money on.

Lets hope well... I almost exclusively play MMOs and I really want a new 1 to play.

I've been looking into STO, only the first couple levels so far, but I thought the space combat system was quite neat if a little repetitive, it'll probably get more complex as you progress. You get to be teamed with other players basically from the start, which I like. Ground combat is kind of a joke but it looks neat. The PvE content is okay sp far, if a little grindy. Warp travel is handled well imo, as is gearing. Skills, I haven't quite wrapped my head around yet.

I didn't think it was boring but then, everything is boring if you want it to be.

I think it's rather cool that the "play" button in the launcher reads "engage".

from the reviews ive seen it didnt look like it was breaking the mmo mould and the ground combat seem to be annoying with the npc getting stuck in a rock or falling down a mountain.. At least its not another fantasy game lol

Its kinda sad. I liked the shows, and the fact Star Trek Online crashed and burned was a bit of a letdown. Especially because I been keeping track of the game.
