Yeh its hit off in America pretty well. Also dubstep.fm generally sticks to american dubstep. (if your interested)
Generally although its not as good as the English stuff, especially some of the really earlier work from artists like Skream and such.

Thats sick man, from london myself, been into and produced dubstep for a gd few years now, im amazed that such an underground music made it in america.
