    HP pavillion dv6z

    Just ordered my new laptop and was wondering how well it will run WoW.

    Specs:

    AMD Turion(TM) II Dual-Core Processor M520 (2.3GHz, 1MB L2 Cache)
    3GB RAM
    250GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
    ATI Radeon(TM) HD 4200 Graphics

    Keep settings low to medium.

    You have a mid-range dual core, and an integrated graphics card which isn't the greatest - http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-...ist.844.0.html

    Ideally to run wow, you'll want your card to be around #66 or better. Your card is # 148

    Thanks for the reply. One more question tho, with my settings to around medium, how much fps will i be getting in general?

    Depends..

    If you disable a lot of the Vista features, you'll get a higher fps.
    Probably aim for about 30fps not in raid.

    My alternate machine is a quad 2.4 with a better graphics card, and gets about 5fps in raids with min settings - hubby uses that one and has recount running, and a few combatlog addons.. Combatlog addons tend to bog down the fps.

    Thanks again. Will be using Windows 7 tho.

    Edit: With windows 7 how much will the fps get at? Sorry but i wont be starting back for another 2 months or so and im a tad bit anxious ><
