What RPG is best?

Final Fantasy.
Elder Scrolls: Morrowind.

My first Final Fantasy was of course VII. I was hooked instantly by a type of game I had never played before. A gripping, emotional story and the most amazing atmospheric city in any game: Midgar.

Morrowind was so epic; so many quests hidden. It's a shame it's so buggy on newer PCs and the quest management system isn't more like Oblivion.

It was only so amazing because it was big. I'll take FF VI over FF VII any day. You need to play it, you will never turn back. Then check out Chrono Trigger. The world in the sky is more amazing that Midgar by far. And the relationships that exist, like Janus and Schala or the Glen story line, are far better than what you will see in FF VIII.

I tried both FFVI and CT using a well-known SNES emulator. Both games bugged at crucial points and I was unable to finish them. Kefka I could not reach in his tower and in CT, I was stuck at some boss inside a volcano I believe. The boss would not appear. Kinda ruined it for me. One thing that did stand out from FFVI, for me, was the score; amazing music.

Buy the Playstation remakes if you can't obtain SNES versions of the games. And I agree that the score is amazing in FF VI. The ending credits song is awesome... 22 minutes of pure gold!

Secret of Mana because it had co-op play.

You my friend have the best taste in RPG:s. Loved Secret of Mana back in the days. I really love RPG:s where you can play as more than one. Also played Legend of Mana on PS1.

I've never played the original pokemon games, so I can't make an opinion about it... but Metal Gear Solid doesn't belong in an RPG discussion.

Knights of the Old Rebuplic (KotR) epic game, defeinlty worth the time to play it

Depends if you're leaning towards RPG elements or the best game that you can call an RPG.. The best RPG of elements would definately be Mass Effect 2 for me.. it's.. just brilliant when you think of all the details and different interaction elements.

Generally i dunno.. There's lots-o great ones.. Dragon Age, TES4:O, AC2.. All great for me

The games are amazing. Can't wait for Goldensun 3 this year hopefully. There kinda slow on there updates.

Persona, but there are so many gems in the genre.
I love both 3 and 4, Persona 3 wins out on storyline and characters, but Persona 4 had essential gameplay improvements and better music.
