So I really feel like the music I listen to is just plain backwards for this game.

They're all great, and work for me, but with all this metal being thrown about, I think these bands are too "squishy" (with an exception of GY!BE) for most everyone else here.

Nothing wrong with that, sometimes I listen to The American Analog Set during raids, sometimes post rock and indie is better for relaxing and focusing besides mind numbing scales and rolling drum fills.

I agree, and seeing others post reassures me that I'm not totally crazy; I just don't like my eardrums to bleed while I play. Maybe it has to do with me being a healer so I don't need to be as destructive?
