Nastolgia attacks: Older games you still love to play?

So, last week something hit me, an undescribable urge to play older games, so I whipped my old N64 out of the closet and started playing banjo-kazooie/tooie

I wonder, anyone else prone to nastolgia attacks like this? and if so, what games do you play?
How much bone could a bonestorm storm if a bonestorm could BOOOOOOOOONESTOOOOOOOOOOOORM!!

    It's "nostalgia".

And I'm currently playing Constructor. Loved it back then, loving it now, despite the age it has lost nothing of the flair and fun.

I played through Curse of Monkey Island just a week or so ago. I think I'm gonna try to get my hands on some other adventure games of the same calibre, they're so much fun.

Might try to play through The Longest Journey again, also a very good adventure game. The first part is a bit slow though, but the environments you get to go to, the contrasts, everything is just so nice.

Try playing through the remake of monkey island 1, as classic as it ever will be.

For me, I have to say Super Mario World, every time I pop it into my SNES I have great time. Making speedruns all the time.

    Happy troll since 2005

Alundra, PSX - Kind of the Playstation version of SNES Zelda, quite trippy with all the dream sequences - tugs on my heart string as most of the villagers die off

Zelda - Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask - playing 'em on my GameCube from the Collector's CD. Awesome, and the mechanics of MM are still epic.

Forgotten Hope mod for BF1942 - Old, and only x1 64 player server left in Europe, but I still enjoy piloting my Junkers on the Crete map with 20 para's inside... oh and ramming the Jap Carrier on Midway with the Prince of Wales.

XIII - starting to play through it again, love the graphical style and plot.

Star Wars on NES - still ridiculously hard, I mean, any who have played it will understand what a feat it was actually getting past the asteroid field to the Death Star.

Bucky O'Hare on NES - still amazingly fun!

Super Star Wars/Empire Strikes Back/RotJ on SNES - arcade perfection.

X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter/X-Wing Alliance on PC - Still sends shivers down my spine whilst in a B-Wing taking on the Executor, for 2 hours. Even with space bombs in my tubes.

I could carry on, but I will leave it there and respond to anything ool I see in other people's posts!

Monkey Island 2 was a game that changed my life. Im not even kidding here. I was some 9 years old, and I literally learned english from playing the game. Danes won't get english lessons until 4th grade at around 10, so my antics in video games helped me ahead quite a while. Monkey Island 2 is still, to this day, my favorite game. Unfortunately, it doesn't run on Windows 7, so it's been a while since I had a cuddle with it.

I never played MI1 much - probably just under half of the game in the later years. I did consider buying the awesome remake, but it came out around the time where i was occupied with MI5, and then it came as an iPhone app. I figured I would get it for my iPhone, but i never got around to clearing enough space for it, and it's been pushed from my mind so many times. Must get back to it.

I remember, when i was even younger, probably 5 or 6, i sat next to my mother as she played various Windows 3.1 games like Wolfenstein, some flipper game and some really scary game that always left me awake at night.

The old DOS games was really gems of their time. Micro Machines, Jazzy Jack Rabit, Raptor. Freaking Raptor, do you remember it?! Doom, Heretic, Superfrog. Cannon Fodder! :')

    Good times..

Indeed, I am Murray! The demonic skull!

So many memories flying around now.

AND Cannon Fodder - an amazing piece of work.

The grit and determination of trying to keep Jools and Jops alive for as long as possible! The multiple-mission levels were the annoying ones, or when an unfourtunate enemy-spawning hut was destroyed and the roof landed right on top of you >.<

    Also, Heretic and Hexen!

And I somehow forgot to mention Duke Nukem 3D. The level design was awesome.

How can you forget Dune 2 and Descent? :

I play so many old games all the time it's gonna take me forever to list them. But that's what you get from being a active gamer since 1994 (NES <3)

If you have played MGS4 you'll know what part i'm talking about. But i dont want to waste it for anyone who hasn't played it.
After playing that one part i went out and bought a Ps1 and a copy of MGS. The nastolgia was good

I've had a bit of a retro spree when I had a wow break a while back.

    I played:

    - Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9
    - Pilotwings for the SNES
    - Zelda: A link to the past for the SNES

I'm desperately looking for Police Quest: SWAT for the PC, but can't find it anywhere.

Banjo-Kazooie!!!! I miss that game, I don't have my N64 where I live now, but I really want to play that game again. It has been so many years since I last did.
That game means a lot to me, cause it was the first game I got, and N64 was my first console. Got it when I was like 8 or something, will never forget that day!
I still remember the funny music in Banjo-Kazooie and how me and my mom who bought it for me sat up all night and played it
We also played Zelda Ocarina of Time which is one of my favorite games.

Nothing beats a regular 2 hour straight 100% Super Metroid run, it just never gets old for me
