Try watching a few, I think you'll all be fairly entertained.

He gives good points most of the time. Every now and then he's just boring and obnoxious though.

    Re: Zero Punctuation

I do enjoy Zero Punctuation, but we should still see it as a subjective review. There have been games where i either had the game before i saw his videos, or simply bought it afterwards regardless, where I couldn't get myself to agree with all of his critizism. He is very good at pointing out flaws in the games, and comment them in humerous ways, but he doesn't often cover the extent of these flaws - many times, what he explains as "like biting down on a sausage filled with nails" is no more than a passing annoyance for most

Ah well, we all have different tastes and standards. Judging from a mate of mine, my standards are way too low - i just want a good time (are we still talking about video games?). Yahtzee is certainly very entertaining, but should be taken with a meassure of caution.

His job is to bash games and exaggerate their faults. He's the typical hard ass who's opinion is law.

Aside from what I stated above, he is hilarious and a decent reviewer.

i dunno i finally decided to get Fallout 3 on the back of his review.

i'd love to see him do one on WoW tho (which he mentions a lot but has never reviewed)

Important to know about Yathzee that calling him reviewer is wrong...

He is a critic due having subjective viewn in 99.9% wait... 100% of time

this coming from man who is also somewhat active follower of the Escapist
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair.

Well, if you're gonna pass on games because Yahtzee points of the faults in them, you're not gonna have a huge library, I can tell you that. Every games have flaws (except Portal) but most can be enjoyed nonetheless. For instance, he bashed Dead Space for it's jump-up-and-scare-you policy, but hell it's still a freaking good game and one of my favourites.

I do enjoy his reviews though, he makes fun analogies and some points he's spot on about. Tends to exaggerate though.

Being one who has watched them since 2008, yes, it's much better to call him a critic than a reviewer at times. He may Exaggerate, but i will admit the games that i have played and that he has reviewed are pretty much what i find in the game.

The only difference is i guess i decided to try again after that BULLSHIT i went through in that mission on Halo Wars. Being steps away from the objective and the time running out did happen to me, "We have lost contact!" despite being mere steps away.

    Yahtzee's not a critic. Or a reviewer.

    Yahtzee is comedy gold.

I laugh at pretty much every single video by him, even if I enjoyed the crap out of the game.

    Re: Zero Punctuation

Ill admit, if i see a review on a new game that I want to play, I don't watch Yahzee's review first. I'm the kind of player where, if you tell me that a game sucks, ill probably believe you, and seeing how Yahzee exaggerates a tiny bit, it may effect my gameplay experience. So instead, i go play the game, and watch the review afterwards.

And while I don't agree sometimes, I can laugh when he makes a valid point. On his recent Borderlands review (which i completed just last week), he ended it by saying "Sure, it might be more tolerable with friends around you, but so is bowel cancer"
