If an EU guild comes along tomorrow and kills it much earlier than we had in comparison, well, all the power to them! They deserve just as much congratulations. Unfortunately EU and US do not patch at the same time.

Quoting this as a rule. For the ones too thick to get it from the last few world first posts, arguing over US vs EU vs whatever and "oh my god but my server had 15 min more maintenance time" will get you a permanent ban off the forum; not only for being clueless, but also because if you argue over such small timeframes, it's not worth arguing over anymore.
