Here's the thread -
Why must PvPers PvE then? (Warning, as a healer, I will be comparing healing gear. Feel free to post your own personal set)....it attracted many players to Arenas who really had no business being in there or in fact didn't even enjoy it.
Item Comparisons:
With trinkets, you use a PvE trinket that gets you out of crowd controls. The second trinket slot you have your option between a PvE trinket or a PvP trinket.
TRINKETS -
The choice is obvious. Not only is mana regen optimal for a healer, it doesn't have a cooldown.Solace of the Fallen (PvE):
Equip: Increases spell power by 150.
Equip: Each time you cast a helpful spell, you gain 16 mana per 5 sec. for 10 sec. Stacks up to 8 times.
Battlemaster's
Equip: Increases spell power by 150.
Use: Increases maximum health by 4608 for 15 sec. Shares cooldown with other Battlemaster's trinkets. (3 Min Cooldown)
RINGS -
A couple things between the rings. First is that none of the PvP rings have a proc -- at all. None of the PvP rings have gem slots, all the PvP rings do. Aside from the wrathful ring, the other two rings do not have a big enough stam. difference to matter, while they have an unbelievable regen difference.Wrathful:

Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 60 (1.31% @ L80).
Equip: Improves your resilience rating by 60 (0.73% @ L80).

WG Ring:

+32 Intellect

+38 Intellect

Weapons:
Then there's heroic 25 man vs 2200 rating. Regardless, you guys get the picture. The obvious problem is the difference between the 10 man level and the BG level. There's nothing there. Aside from that, there aren't procs on any weapons in PvP.Starting PvP/PvE Weapon -
Seethe:
+39 Stamina
+52 Intellect
Equip: Improves hit rating by 39 (1.49% @ L80).
Equip: Improves haste rating by 52 (1.59% @ L80).

Nothing.
Next step in gearing for PvE 25 mans (I'll be fair and not link LK loot):
Trauma:
+53 Stamina
+53 Intellect
Equip: Increases spell power by 741.
Equip: Each time your spells heal a target you have a chance to cause the target of your heal to heal themselves and friends within 10 yards for 217 each sec for 6 sec.
Next step in gearing for PvP - 1800 rating:
+88 Stamina
+59 Intellect

There are many other examples for off hands, bracers, back, neck, belt, and boots. The point is:
Raiding gear attracts many players to raiding who really had no business being in there or in fact didn't even enjoy it.
