Just wanted to know if there is any special "better" race for Spriest

Simply wondering, and couldn't seem to find any post on it

Edit: Also Worgen for the 1% damage buff and goblin for the 1% haste buff

I wouldn't take your racials based on Cataclysm since, y'know, they're changing all the racials around to match the new Goblin / Worgen ones. At least that's what I'm told.

They will change the racials in cata (million times said...rofl) so just pick the one you find most interesting and pray for the racials.

Presuming that Tauren don't get completely shafted with racials in Cataclysm, I'm really thinking about switching to Tauren or at least checking it out on a PTR of some sort. A massive Shadow-y thing or a healing Tauren in robes is just too funny to pass up on.

At the moment I'd do human for Every Man for Himself and the spirit buff.

but the spirit boost isn't useful for shadowpriests. ok, it's useful but really not in any way gamebreaking.
and I really doubt the gnome int buff (expansive mind) will remain for cata but otherwise it'd be the bestavailiable.

Everyone I know went Troll, the haste buff is nice. I stay Belf b/c tbh, I can't stand the way trolls run (and BEs are way prettier).
I really wonder how the gnome/int buff would perform better than others... I'm sure our mana-batteryness will be altered in Cata but at the moment I am quite happy with my mana pool/efficiency.

If you're horde, troll all the way there is nothing comparable for dps buffs.

For alliance draenei is nice for +1% to hit for your party, but if your guild has enough draenei already to cover each party than that 1% is useless and draenei has no other usefull raiding racials. The human spirit bonus will give a minor DPS increase, and there are quite a few fights where they're 'every man' ability will break you out of fears/CCs etc to give you increased DPS time.

Pick the one you like the casting animations of. If you end up hating your character because you really don't like the animations, +2% damage isn't going to help.
