Just a quick question, what do you think is better the token from badges or the heroic wfs from 10 man icc?

Im arp capped aswell now.

I think it depends on the fight. If you can keep up the stack from the HWT and are at the crit cap, it will be slightly better, otherwise WFS will be best.

Just a quick question. Now that I am rocking a good amount of ICC gear, including 4pc 264 T10, I have quite a bit or Armor Pen even without having gemmed for it, even so that I would waste procs on the armor pen trinkets, so I went for hard cap as much as I could. Sitting at just under 1k w/o food/elixir. Also, I like to hit, there is alot of moving and target switching in ICC, and I like being able to get that last Rip/Rake in before I switch, or phase transitions etc.

Now, Saurfang does not like us Melee, and never drops DBW or Toskk's bracers. So I'm stuck with what I have in regards for those.

I have Deaths Verdict, and the only other trinket I have is my old Greatness Card. Now, back in the day I farmed the hell out of ToC normal for that banner, but it never dropped.

Now, do you think Greatness is better, or should I queue up as a tank and farm for the Banner again now that I'm going for hardcap.

I think the banner is slightly better, but not by more than 10-15 dps. So up to yourself if you find that worth farming for.

I've made some progress lately with my gear, just achieving 4T10 last night. I'm not looking for huge things, but some input might be helpful. I realize I'm well over the hit cap, that's only the case until I can replace Pyrite Infuser (if I don't get a drop this or next week, I'm going to just buy DMC:G). So if you could, ignore 95 of my 360 hit. Other than a new trinket to replace Pyrite, and the obvious upgrades (264 tier upgrades), I'm not really sure what to pursue. I don't really have much access to ICC25, sadly, but I get in PUGs when I can.

I'm also wondering if I should start considering ArPen on the horizon, and how to approach that beast.

Instead of the DMC:G you could also consider the banner of victory from toc5n, they're about equal. You could probably drop some of those hit/expertise gems as well to gain some more agi/crit. The frost emblem belt is still a good thing to buy.

Switching to arpen is usually only a good idea when you got 2 trinkets of death choice level or better, and are able to reach over 1150 arpen. I don't think this is possible unless you have access to either 10man heroic gear, or 25man gear.

Ok, i do this for all cat kind. I feel like I should be doing more then my 6400 dps in ICC 25 (thats overall) Saurfang, which as we know is just a stationary dps fight for melee I top out at 7900.

It's not very impressive dps, but there's some pretty big problems with your gear: you don't have any set bonuses; your 2nd trinket is awful, and you're way over the hitcap and have no expertise. Your gems are also off, and herbalism is kinda poor as raiding profession (JC is a good replacement). You should also spec for imp. mangle if you have to mangle more than 1x per fight.

First of all, get a T9 chest and legs, and either a banner of victory or a darkmoon card: greatness (agi). Put 10agi+10haste in all yellow sockets, a nightmare tear in the blue socket in your T9 pants, and 20 arpen in all other sockets (with arpen food you should end up at around 720 arpen). Change weapon enchant to mongoose, and boots enchant to icewalker. If you do all this your dps should go up significantly. If you got plenty of gold, you could get a battered hilt and some crafted boots/pants for a nice dps increase as well. Try to use all your frost emblems towards getting 4T10, the 4 set bonus is awesome. Get the T10 legs asap (and switch to the T9 head then to keep your 2T9 bonus).

I think I've managed to balance the hit and expertise problem out now. A bit more background - i regualrly pug the first 4 ICC 25 but our guild is 10 man only which does limit choices somewhat.

I have taken your advice and now have almost enough badges for the further 2 pieces tier 10 you suggested.

Im thinking legs and gloves or legs and chest but would welcome suggestions.

When is it worth pushing for the ARP hard cap- or is it not feasable in 10 man gear?

Your gear is all over the place. You have gear from Putricide all the way down to Razor boots.

a) Your over the armor Pen cap with the DBW. So until you get better gear with ArP you might want to look at going for soft cap ArP and gem for agility

b) get rid of the blue ArP gems in your shoulders and legs. go either Epic gem Agility or ArP

c) Crafted boots are not THAT expensive to make and a better upgrade (though you can get the ones from Marrow)

d) Bracers from Saurafang are a good upgrade

e) Upgrade your T8 helm

Recently got the polearm from the LK, just wanted to know what you thought about my gear set up now. Had to drop my 258 boots for the 277 ones, both rogues passed to me...i wanted to ring off marrow more tbh.

Anyways tuesday we had some weird bug where the 5% either wasnt working or gave us -5% because our raid dps as a whole was substantially lower. I'll have to wait till sunday to see if this set up made a difference.

15 badges short of 4piece T10. Would you recommend helm or chest to complete it?

Just an alt so I haven't really done my homework. See any really bad mistakes, or easy badge gear replacements? I was thinking my next purchase after getting my 4piece would be the frost badge belt, Vengeful Noose.

was manageing to pull 4.5k dps on a dummy lastnight but kept ending up with more combo points then needed to keep FR and RIP up but not enough to do FB without letting everything drop off

any hints and advise will be helpfull. iv only recently started dpsing, i swapped from tnking.
i understand my spec is rubbish but its letting me continue to tank untill my dps is sorted out. [from a guide i read if u go arp>all u can afford to not use fb so my speck should be fine.. i think?]

You could gain some easy dps by switching back to T9 shoulders for now, the 2T9 bonus easily outweighs the stat difference with the T10 shoulders. Also try to get rid of the mirror of truth, something like a DMC:G or a needle encrusted scorpion would be a huge dps boost.

Use your frost emblems to the the T10 legs asap, the 4T10 bonus will boost your dps by a lot. You'll be very high on expertise for a while, but once you replace your weapon itll go down again.

Hey, quick question:

Currently using Banner of Victory and Cryptmaker to both keep decent levels of hit and hardcap ArP.

But I could get Herkuml wartoken and have Distant land in my bags.

I'd lose a shitload of ArP (184), hit (95), in exchange for a load of haste, agility and a better proc on trinket. Would it be worth it, or should i just stick with my current set-up.

Rawr tells me it'd be a dps increase of about 400, but I have my doubts as to losing the ArP cap and dropping to 140 hit.

Recently got Distant Land, replacing Shaft of Glacial Ice. I'm only a handful of badges away from being able to buy the War Token. With my NES equipped, I'm slightly over the ArPen soft cap due to gemming. I'm wondering if it'll be worth replacing NES with the War Token and then gemming to full ArPen. I believe I can squeeze enough out to get to 1000 ArPen or at least somewhat close.

I just took the first step to hard ArPen cap, i am currently at 1344 unbuffed, i figure for the time being eat ArP food for raids and be close enough to cap.
Upgrade path in importance is:
DBW, obviously so i can make some of gem bonuses on my gear and make perfect hard cap.
277 token for legs, to help my lack of expertise

Now that i am Hard ArP cap, should i gem 20 expertise to make up those dodges if i can spare the gem socket? I dunno of any other upgrades that are gonna actually help in regards to hit/expertise while maintaining 1396 ArP

Went full arp hardcap a few weeks ago but i havnt really noticed a change besides 18k shred crits instead of 16 - 17k at softcap. Would it be worth it to go back to softcap with needle? When i changed cryptmaker it dropped my crit by alot & i have a feeling that is what's causing the loss of dps. Any tips / help you can offer Mihir is greatly appreciated. Been thinking about switching to these to bump my crit back up and go back to softcap with nes -
