    MW2 Weapons

Hey guys, whats your favourite MW2 weapon, attachments, perks, or w/e, and why do you use them?
Mines the UMP45, Tar, with the silencer and Holographic sight.. I use them because I cant aim for shit, and silencer sounds pretty 8)

    Mine is either:

Intervention with FMJ/ Thermal (Stfu if you hate thermal, look at the scores you get with it).

    M1A4 with FMJ.

    Re: MW2 Weapons

The ACR has easily the best iron-sights.
The M240 is amazingly powerful and actually usable if you put a grip on it.

Past those 2, pretty much any gun's good if you can manage to hit people with it. I don't play anything but HC, so those may not be accurate for non-hc, but for HC they're amazing.

Red-dot sight M16. That thing just rapes anything in sight.

    Re: MW2 Weapons

well anything really, all the guns are pretty overpowered, with most assault rifles being as powerful as a sniper rifle but i'll give you 3 classes that own easiest.

    1

scar silenced (if you can't use the iron sights on these tiny maps then dont play)
    magnum fmj
    perk 1 scavengar
    perk 2 stopping power
    perk 3 comando

    2

    DW Class
    Akimbo P90's
    Akimbo 1887 shotguns
    perk 1 marathon
    perk 2 stopping power
    perk 3 steady aim

    3

    intervention fmj/acog
    rafika fmj/akimbo
    perk 1 scavanger
    perk 2 stopping power
    perk 3 steady aim

as for those who use a thermal scope i will call you a newb, i tend not to as the normal scope is a lot more usefull than the thermal i tend to use fmj more. also look how many times i kill you when i use cold blooded on my sniper.

heres my class for killing thermal users:

    p90 acog scope
    deagle with tact knife
    perk 1 marathon
    perk 2 cold blooded
    perk 3 commando

that pretty much equals you dead numerous times and you rage quiting with your naf thermal on.

those who use bling are sacrificing to much most of the time, there are better perks for every level.

quite honestly theres so many kids playing mw2 that its to easy these days you can rofl stomp a 40 kill streak every domination game and if you camp on TDM quite often you get over half the kills doing the look at me i'm a bush trick.

tbh if your having trouble you need practice, or if you have been playing since release and are not good yet, you probably won't get good.

I agree 100% with what was said here except for the acog on the sniper... its not horrible but I would rather use the regular scope on it.

    Re: MW2 Weapons

Unless I'm trying to get xp from easy unlocks with new weapons I usually run and gun with:

    TaR - FMJ Attachment
    M93 Rafficka - Akimbo (I think that's correct spelling)

    Perks I use

    Stopping Power Pro
    Scavenger Pro
    Steady Aim Pro

Unless it's a pre-set up team game I've found ninja pro quite a piss poor perk in random games

    Re: MW2 Weapons

    scar h - silenced
    desert eagle - tactical knife.

    Perk 1Scavenger pro
    Perk 2Hardline pro.
    Perk 3sitrep.

    all the way
banned 5 times and still counting

    Re: MW2 Weapons

I pretty much play only Hardcore TDM so my perks are generally all the same. Bling Pro/Sleight of Hand Pro, Cold Blooded, Ninja Pro.

Loadouts I use (secondary is always M9 Red Dot/FMJ or Thumper):

    UMP45 Holo Sight, Rapid Fire
    P90 Holo, Rapid
    Scar-H Holo/Grenade
    Scar-H Acog/Grenade
    ACR Acog/Grenade
    ACR Holo/Grenade

Whether I use holo or acog depends on the map. Grenade is free kills so I almost always use it.

    Re: MW2 Weapons

I am usually extremely bad at MW2. Once in a while, I have some good games, but I usually die as much as I kill people. My favorite weapon is probably the ACR, although I found a little love for the Scar-H.

I have never really used secondary weapons, other than launchers to take down air support. However, I recently found a bit of love for the Rafikka, where I suddenly found that - if single with red dot - its quite precise with virtually no recoil, and as akimbo, its out right deadly. I had some quite good fights (relative to how i usually perform) just running around with dual rafikkas.

I really dislike people using grenade launchers. We are talking instant fire, instant explosion, just-aim-in-that-direction gameplay. I nearly start crying when I see a level 70 prestige player spending a whole fight using only tubes - and most of the time, the people using tubes have no more than a 1:1 KD ratio.

Don't get me wrong, I use grenades (Semtex) quite often. But it does not get thrown instantly, and it has a delay before exploding. There is a lot more tactical oppotunity in it, and I can't just run around and lop semtex grenades in random directions :P

Guess why it's called noob tubing ^^

Anyway, on to topic: I really, and I mean REALLY, enjoy running around with some random SMG plus akimbo rangers. Combine that with Marathon, Lightweight and Commando pro and you got a rape machine, specially on small maps like Favela (Oh, wonderful Favela...). Other than that, I've found a liking on the first LMG available, I think it's called L86W. Reason behind this is because it's the strongest weapon I know of. Two shots kills pretty much anyone (granted you use stopping power) and with scavenger you'll never run out of ammo (like I ever would anyway...). Also, I envy people who can really use SMGs. Bloody stupid things...

Oh, and running around with Akimbo M9 is also fun.
If I was a Blizz server technician, I'd hijack a server and use it to download porn 24/7. Guess why the instance servers always are full B]

    Re: MW2 Weapons

    lol heartbeat = /facepalm

heartbeats are pretty poor, if your a cod vet you won't want to waste the slot with that. i used it for the longest time, but then i reverted back to CoD 4 style sticking with silencers and red dots, the acog isn't too bad on this one but not a patch on the cod 4 version.

i use 3 of the perk 1 perks only namely scavenger, marathon and sleight of hand.

CoD 4 was less Rofl stompy in the way loadouts were set out and the killstreak perks worked, now in MW2 you can have uber fun in mutliple ways. for instance duall rafiking, 1887's, rangers, pistols and even smgs. you can quick scope quicker than ever with slight of hand pro, you can stick people with a halo style semtex.

you can throw a kinfe and insta kill even if you pin his foot to the floor, you can run stab your way to a 6.00 KDR.

it's all about the speed now if you want to have a manic game then you run around like a headless chicken capping all those mofo's with your dual shotties, then you hit your 7 kills and go harriers pave low chopper gunner in 5 seconds and its insta pown 20 kills.

if you want uber kills and no deaths you pretend your a tree and camp your little butt off.
