    Ret Paladin/ Lich King fight.

Which seals are best for the phases of this encounter? I'm guessing seal of command for phase 1, mostly because of all the ghouls being tanked around the LK.

    Any pros want to input?

Corruption- The goal of phase 1 is to quickly drop the LK to his transition while spreading the NP to the Horrors.

Sure, you can /flex your epeen with Command, but its better to use Corruption. Besides, the ghouls are already being hit by cleave/lolstorm/consecration/holy wrath/diseases/sweeping strikes.

tell your tank to do his job and taunt the ghouls off the melee.

Here what i do for 25 man version

    P1: Seal of Vengeance/Corruption
    transition- Vengeance/Corruption
    P2: Seal of Command
    transition- Vengeance/Corruption
    P3: Seal of Vengeance

    Profit???

10 man its obviously Vengeance/Corruption all the way

Corruption on anything but the 3 Valks. Let plague bounce between the ghouls and shamblers will die in seconds. Command on valks (extremely overpowered).

But the ghouls shouldn't even be on the melee, they should be with the offtank for necrotic plague bouncing.

    Corruption for P1
Either for the transitions (I prefer corruption because we usually only have 1 Raging Spirit up at a time)
    Command for P2
    Corruption for P3

    Win

At any given time you could have 6 ghouls up in 25man. The Shambling tank just doesn't have that many taunts. If I recall correctly, each new wave of ghouls will spawn 3 or 4 of them. He only needs to snag a couple of them to keep the disease rolling hard.

Using Holy Wrath on the ghouls in our raids will get you: a) chewed out the first time you do it, then b) benched. The add tank normally gets really pissed when he taunts a mob, you Holy Wrath it, then the taunt falls off and stays in melee. Expect to get verbally violated.

Point of the taunting is to allow Necrotic Plague to build stacks as it kills the ghouls. If they are tanked by the LK many will die through cleave damage and you will have a longer first phase due to your dps having to attack shamblers because Necrotic Plague isn't being utilized. The more ghouls you can bounce plague to, the faster shamblers will die when the plague spreads to them.

Who doesn't?? If he is standing 10-15 yds away from the boss, it doesn't matter who is tanking the Shambler. He should still be chewing your ass for wasting his taunt.

Ok lemme re-phrase: If you are on the boss, you shouldnt have to worry about AoEing the ghouls since they are dying anyhow from NP and passive cleaves like Holy Wrath from the OT.

Yea your job in phase 1 is to get the Lich King to 70% as fast as you can, not to do over the top dps on adds that should be tanked by the horrors. If your using command (and thus probably holding aggro on a couple) your not doing your job very well.

Isn't there a seal that can stun? Would that be any good for the Val'kyrs? Never lolret'd that boss.

Yeah the Judgement hits for nothing, and there is no damage from the seal.

Not to mention the deminishing returns on stuns. Best to use 3 long AoE stuns while their together and take advantage of the cleave damage available. Piercing howl and holy wrath are usually enough if there is a frost trap down, so no need to use that seal and suffer a dps loss.

One extreme to the other. Seal of Command and Ret DPS in general is by far one of the, if not THE best possible dps on valks on LK. I did near 1.1-1.2mil damage to them on our kill last week and the next highest was in the 800k range where most everyone else fell. SoComm all the way.
