He is saying they are both shadow pieces but could be a healing upgrade over his current gear. Even with hit/resilience.

Hmm, i noticed that without gems, i lost about 2% haste on legs, but gained about 500 mana in holy spec, would be bigger in disc.

Then again im considering abandoning holy to change it to shadow.

As Holy you'll probably want to stick with what you have. Hit/Resil are 100% wasted stats and Crit isn't that great for healers in general. You might want to use them as Disc, but it's questionable. Just get the 232 T9 legs for Holy and be happy. They're actually very well itemized for Holy. For Disc you can use both, particularly the gloves. Resilience is wasted in PVE, but Spirit is useless to Discipline as well, so it's just more crit and more SP.

I wouldn't say Spirit is "useless" to Disc. It still does contribute somewhat to mana regeneration, but your point is still valid. There are other stats that are much more of a priority.
