Changes sound good, particularly interested in Spiritwalker's Grace

Changes look good, but shouldn't you wait for the other classes' previews before going "YAY LEVELING A SHAMMY NAU!!!!!"?

    Re: Cataclysm Class Preview: Shaman

Wow, too bad I quit the game, because Restoration shaman seems to be alot better and more fun to play in cataclysm, especially with Healing Rain and Spiritwalker's Grace.

" When this self-targeted buff is active, your spells are no longer interrupted by movement and possibly even by your own attacks."

It would be kinda awesome if you could Buff yourself with Spiritwalker's Grace, do a Healing Rain at the melee, and at the same time heal the range with Chain heal or another spell. eg the new Healing Wave. If your attacks won't be interrupted by your own attacks as the say it might.

And Spirit Link getting back, It's kinda awesome to but on the MT and OT, instead of having the MT only getting spanked and in need of alot of healing.

And "Deep healing" mastery is not as bad either ^^

Someones a bit sour today. Most of the changes are perfect to me, infact im exstatic about the Unleash Weapon and Primal Strike attacks, and even more so the Casting on the Run ability.

Cleansing Totem will be removed from the game, as we want dispels to be a decision for players, not something done mindlessly. To that end, all dispels will cost slightly more mana, and you will waste the spell if you cast it when there is nothing to remove. (Currently, the dispel is only cast when there is something to remove, which encourages spamming 'just in case.") We will balance PvE dispelling with this new model in mind.

I don't like this much tbh...

I gotta admit, im not too happy about the dispel changes, since i don't pvp at all.

But i must say alot of these changes seem awesome.
Only thing that bothers me is that spirit link. I just hope it's not gonna be like beacon of light in any way. Kinda wish they'd given a bit more info on that one

    Re: Cataclysm Class Preview: Shaman

Speaking as a lifelong Elemental Shaman, I just peed a little.

It was always a little ridiculous that I did 11K dps on single target boss fights when we had a Demo Warlock to give the spellpower buff, and around 7-8K when I have to drop Totem of Wrath.

I really hope they share the "casting while moving" buff with Mages, since it's something we've been requesting for 5 years.

    Nice review.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age"

Holy sh..those are awesome changes! I was planning on benching my resto shaman when i started leveling a priest in Cat but this has really made me have to reconsider o.o. Depending on what priest changes they announce i might have to still concentrate on 3 characters , 4 if i continue with my feral druid.

Share? More like give entirely to mages!

Slightly annoyed that they decided to give it to Shamans, considering that we have indeed been requesting it for years. OH well :-X
