...then I push for it to consume mana every second while it is on. I can give a WC3 example: when a hero put on a certain aura it would consume mana until you turned it off. This concept would be brilliant if Blizzard is pushing for more mana control in Cataclysm.

Now I am all for the 3% every 3 seconds but of course numbers would have to be tweaked.

The radiance aura seems to OP'd! tho' we will have to wait and see!

While looking at other threads it would seem to fit for paladins to have a Healing Stream Totem. But all of pally's auras are raid wide so I don't see Radi Aura being party only.

Speaking as if this aura was being implemented, of course.

I doubt so. If anything it would have the same healing value as Healing Stream Totem.

auras did not consume mana in wc3 they were all passive and had funny pattersnstuff only immolation aura consumed mana and that is not really an aura that is an aoe ability :<

IMO if we get this, Its likely that we will get a new Aura System to balance it all out. Cause the other Auras are lacking atm
