Microsoft still owns the rights to Halo though.

All this means is bungie isn't limited to the 360 for their new releases, which they already said after the split that they would go multiplatform.

Halo will still be a Microsoft exclusive title, Bungie is planning a new game.

With the Infinity Ward problem I am wondering if this is making some people in Bungie nervous or apprehensive. I hope that Bungie can actually keep its new IP/s, and not be tricked like IW and have to keep making ModernWarfare games in order to make bank on their games....

The agreement states that bungie owns the IP and that Activision has the publishing rights. This is different from IW's situation in that IW was owned by activision. Bungie is still a separate company.
