    Elrisil Starspire

    Name: Erisil Starspire
    Age: 120 years
    Race: Blood Elf
    Gender: Female
    Class: Paladin
Likes: Silvermoon, Blood elfs, The Light, action, The Naaru, beeing on her own.
Dislikes: Crowds and cities, people with an attitude, Scourge, The Burning Legion and not beeing able to do her "thing".
Appearance: Rather attractive with black ponytail hair and green glowing eyes. She does have a rather large tattoo on her right back shoulder, which is the symbol of her family, to remember those of her familiy who she lost during the events of the Sunwell and later.
Strengths: She can endure alot of damage, both fysical and emotional, is rather "wise" given her age, always likes to help those in dire need and knows how to use the Light to heal those who are wounded.
Weaknesses: Can't stand/handle attitude, while she is "wise" she sometimes isn't really polite when interacting with others and sometimes she's rather stubborn.

    History:
Elrisil was born in the small village of Fairbreeze near Silvermoon, where whe was raised by her parents. She had a brother who was around 15 years older than Elrisil. In the first 15 years, Elrisil spent much of her time playing with other children in the village and exploring the near surroundings of Fairbreeze.
15 years after Elrisil was born, the Starpsire family moved towards the great city of Silvermoon, as her older brother wanted started his education as a Priest of the Light and their parents wanted to introduce Elrisil into the "big world" outside Fairbreeze. They settled down in a small house near the market district, and started a shop there which sold fruits and drinks, and was often visited by travelers who came to Silvermoon.

Elrisil started to help her parents out in the shop and by doing so, she heard great tales of "adventures" from these visiting travelers and started to dream of traveling and experience these "adventures" herself. After a few years peaceful years in Silvermoon, Elrisils parents considered it time for their daughter to take the next step in her yet young life. Given the fact that Elrisil had a strong personality, always was willing to help out people in need and everyone in the famili was already a follower of "The Light", she was introduced to Osselan, a Paladin Trainer in Silvermoon.
Initially Elrisis wasn't really eager to leave the shop and her parents behind her, but after some time she started to like the new abilties she acuired as a a young Paladin and started to focus more and more on her training as a Paladin of the Light.
Over the next few years, Elrisil spend alot of time traveling around the lands of Eversong Woods and the Ghostslands, helping out wherever her help was needed by people.
As she continued to "grow" in her skills and capabilites as a Paladin, she came under the guidance of Champion Bachi, who saw a lot of potential and strenght in Elrisil. Under his guidance, she soon became one of the strongest and finest Paladins among her age and rank, sometimes even rivalling older Paladins in terms of skills and power.

However these years of peacefull training and travelling soon came to and end when the Scource attacked Silvermoon City. Elrisil was on a visit to her parents when she heard the news of the attacking Scourge and left them immeadetly to fight off the attacking forces. It would be the last time she saw and spoke her parents. Elrisil rushed towards the gates of the city, only to find out that the Scource already had broken their defences. None the less, she joined the ongoing battle and healed and killed as well as she could. However, it was of little effect, as the Scource managed to push back the defending forces more and more on their way to the Sunwell. Realising that they wouldn't survive this rampage if they didn't flee soon, Elrisil managed to escape Silvermoon along with a few others and hide themselfs from the Scourge.
Yet her greates challenge was yet to come, the challenge of living without the arcane power of the Sunwell at her disposal.
The Sunwell got corrupted when Kel'Thuzad was revived using the Sunwell's power, and posed a great threat to the elves as it would kill them eventually. Therefor it was destroyed, but not without effect. Cut of from their source of power, many elves became ill and eventually died. Elrisil aswell suffered from this "curse", yet her determination and will to avenge the Scourge kept her in life and allowed her to travel towards the realm of Outland, seeking for a cure.

Arriving in the realm of the Outland, she heard of the defection of Voren'thal the Seer and his forces who where send by Kael'thas to invade the great city of Shattrath, and that they were allowed to stay there by A'dal himself. She travelled towards Shattrath and joined the forces of the Scryers, where she learned the new way to harness magic and feed her hunger. But she also learned of the crimes and betrayal Prince Kael'thas commited and that he joined forces with the Burning Legion. This causes her to not trust anyone anymore, unless she knows the person very well, and makes her approach strangers and unknow people with caution and little agression.
Inspired by her new knowledge, Elrisil joined the efforts made by the Scryers against Kael'thas and his minions in the Netherstorm and Tempest Keep, yet never faced the beloved fallen Prince herself. When she was informed of the defeat of Kael'thas, she was filled with joy, but also with sadness. The blood elves where freed from great danger, but also lost their chance and promise of a real cure for their magic addiction. But that was not the only thing Elrisil lost. Her older brother had been among those to confront Kael'thas himself, and in order to protect his people and his little sister, he gave his live. This caused great sadness for Elrisil, as now she was the only one left of the Starspire family, and was all alone in this world. To remember her family, she got a large tattoo on her right back shoulder, resembling their family symbol, so that they are always with her when she's out there al by herself.

As the focus of the Scryers moved towards the Black Temple and Illidan now that Kael'thas was no more, Elrisil travelled towards the Shadowmoon Valley to help the Scryers efforts there, often freeing their prisoners and fighting of the minions and forces of the Burning Legion. In the final push against the Burning Legion and Illidan, the Black Temple was stormed and Elrisil was among those brave enough to enter it. After defeating several servants and minions of Illidan, they finally confronted The Betrayer himself and managed to defeat him with help from Maiev.

After this, Elrisil returned towards Quel'Dalas and settled in the rebuild town of Silvermoon, hoping for more peacefull times. Yet this peace was short lived, as Kael'thas, who everyone considered dead, returned towards Quel'Dalas and the Isle of Quel'Dalan. What was to be believed the saving of the magic addiction of the blood elves, turned out be a horrible nightmare. Kael'thas was truelly working together with the Burning Legion in order to overtake the Sunwell, and used it to summon something much much worse. In an attempt to stop this madness, Elrisil joined the efforts made by the Shattered Sun Offensive and several heroes and together they stormed the Sunwell, only to discover what was summoned by Kael'thas. He was summoning his new Lord and Master, Kil'jaeden towards the plane of Azeroth. Terrified by this discovery, they tried to stop him, and thanks to the sacrifice made by Anveena, they barely managed to banish Kil'jaeden back to the Twisting Nether even though the Sunwell was considered lost by this action. Yet they where wrong, as Velen used a spark of Muru to reignite the Sunwell and therefor restoring the magic powers of the blood elfs.

Once again peace came into the daily life of Elrisil, who spent most of her time exploring and roaming the world of Azeroth and Outland, yet as before, this peace wasn't going to last for long. Forgotten by all the action in the Outland and near by home, the Scourge once more returned into her life, disrupting it again.
Several cities where invaded by mindless zombies and ghouls, spreading the plague among those who had the onfortunate luck of getting biten by one of these mindless creatures. Soon it beclame clear to everyone that this was a planned inbvasion by the Scourge, planned and controlled by the mighty Lich King himself. The Horde reacted swifly to this act of aggression and dispatched a mighty expedition towards the cold lands of Northrend. Among those brave heroes and soldiers was Elrisil, who was burning with a deep desire to repay the Scourge and the Lich King for the pain and sadness she suffered when she lost her parents in the Third War.
She didn't care much about the politics going on between the Horde and the Alliance, she only cared about getting rid of the Scourge and their master once and for all. After fighting trough several area's in Northrend, killing many members of the Scourge, she stormed the fortress of Naxxramas with a group of heroes and eventually slaid the Lich Kel'Thuzard there. Inspired by her deeds, she and others was asked to help retake the city of Ulduar, after Bronn Bronzebeard managed to gain access towards this old city and discovered that something which great influence was hidden there.
Together they advanced trough the old city, slaining and killing many during their advance, to discover the cities oldest and most hidden secret, the old god Yogg'Saron was alive. Only through sheer determination and strong will the group managed to slay the old god, freeing the land of his corrupting grasp.

After the city of Ulduar was retaken, the focus shifted back towards the Lich King in Icecrown Citadel. In an attempt to prepare for the assault on Icecrown, a Tournament of Champions was hosted by Tirion Fordring, to find the most brave and skilled adventures for this assault. Eager as she was to confront and slay the Lich King and his Scourge, Elrisil signed up and joined the Tournament right away. She was one of the strongest and most skilled competitors, defeating everyone who dared to challenge her. Yet the ultimate challenge there wouldn't be a simple beast or demon, but be Anub'arak, a revived servant of the Lich King, who assaulted them during one of the challenges. They managed to slay this Servant, proving that they where truelly eligible to face the Lich King in Icecrown Citadel.
And so they did. With help from the Ashen Verdict and King Varian Wrynn, they finally assaulted the Citadel of Icecrown and after defeating the servants of the Lich King, they finally confronted the Lich King himself. It was a long and tiresome battle, but thanks to the aid of Tirion Fordragen and her burning desire to avenge her parents and many others who have fallem victim to the Scourge, they managed to defeat the Lich King and free the world of his grasp.

Elrisil Starspire now again roams the world of Azeroth, exloring the land and meeting new people wherever she goes and travels.

You can throw a bucket of water into the sea, and it'll fit in.

So taking that idea into your character, if you throw in another paladin to the sea of paladin the role playing forum is, you should have the same results : ]
Elizabeth, Paladin of Stormwind, read the story of A Paladin in the Making.
Featuring now: Agent Vanseph, human Rogue agent of SI: 7, and Floral, the mysterious night elf Huntress
    accompanied by Hummer, ex-lion Pridelord!

The Dog sheds its fur! It's actually a chick?!

You're right on that one, but want to make sure I'm not exacly making a copy of something or someone already here. As said, still a bit unsure where I wanna take "her", might even rewrite most of it tomorrow as I'm not entirely happy with what I have now

Alright, started with her history, beginning is a bit dull and "common" yet wanna know if the direction I'm going for is plausible/good.

Wrong. Blood elves who were paladins as high elves still use their light powers like normal paladins, with the exception of some who abandoned the light.

All high elf paladins > light paladins
Some Blood Elf paladins > light paladins
Some Blood Elf paladins > first became blood knights and are now light paladins
Some Blood elf paladins > first became light paladins but became blood knights then turned into light paladins again

BIG story update(finally, deleted my first one by pressing F5 by accident...) and made an avatar Will finish this tonight, need to go home now
Didn't look into the dimensions allowed here, so made a rather big one, and then found out it should be 100x100 pixels max ...

    ---------- Post added 2010-06-29 at 11:24 PM ----------

    And done(I think!)

Feedback pleas, tried to keep it realistic while making it a bit heroic and sticking with the "current" developments in WoW.

Note, she only went to Northrend to slay Arthas and the Scourge, so she hasn't paid much attention towards the "issues" the Dragon flights had and will have.

Question: did you steal my own Belf Pally's last name, partially? His last name is Lightspire :P

Any case, her age is rather questionable. She's, according to her people, still a child. maybe close to adulthood, but she's still a child. The first paragraph of the history is fine though, in terms of age. My new philosophy on age is that for beings who live longer, they grow from their infant state to a child the same as a human. When they hit puberty though, they start aging slower. When they hit adulthood, they age even slower.

EDIT: history looks good. Well done. I'm approving your application. I just ask for you to tell me if the age is appropriate, or if you're going to change it a bit.

No, did not steal that name from you, just couldn't think of something "elvish" for her last name so I combined 2 of the suggested names in the naming guide and went with it .

Age is indeed questionable, so to keep things clear and realistic I'll change it towards 120 years, so that she will be a full "adult" without her history beeing "off".
