Okay, they probably changed it but what is the ambience that was special in raven hill catacombs? I just hear a heartbeat and chains rattling. >>
    Raaaa!

    Oh,the nostalgia...

    Did you know....?

In vanilla ALL pets were different, each had unique attack speed, damage,hp,armor

The Rake was a cat that owned an astouning atk. speed of 1.00(before buffs/frenzy) making it a PvP god.

Also there was a tameable wolf named Lupos in Duskwood, that, once tamed, inflicted shadow damage on autoattacks instead of physical.Epic times.

Also Stitches required a large number of people to beat(due to lack of gear/low lvls

In TBC,all hunter pets were normalised:to this day,all pets have 2.00 atk speed and the same base damage before talents and buffs
the rake had 1.2 attack speed, Broken tooth and the bloodseek bat had 1.0

Hunters Mark looked awesome in Vanilla :P
hunters could Feign Death + Drink, the changed that during first 3months of TBC (remember wasting my mana on everything to do shitload of dmg with my hunter + feign death and drink quickly before p2 started, on prince in karazhan (officially the last boss))
and remember you had to Feign death + trap in vanilla, awesome times :P

    Thanks for an awesome post

Brings back memories, and reminds me of how easy some stuff is now compared to then. Like getting to places quickly, and leveling professions. Also addons are much more mature nowadays, which also helps a lot.

Really? So they brought it back for Cataclysm?
No, that's definitely been around since at least BC. He meant some time in Vanilla.

The Cleaner was discussed already, but not many people know he's unkillable and you can kite the mob that spawns him ...to major cities for mass carnage. For details on how to spawn him see wowhead or a few minutes into http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=171201 - he's also been used to kill Tirion Fordring in EPL, see wowhead comments.

Old Hunter's Mark and much less annoying imho. But less flashy and I'm sure many Hunters would disagree. *shrug*

Screenshot from http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=106475 This debuff was once used by a Horde guild to kill Thrall, their own faction leader, see http://www.wowpedia.org/Mark_of_Shame on 06/12/06 <Blunt Logic> scored the world first Horde-side kill of Thrall. See http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...6579&q=thrall#

So, after we killed Thrall, we didn't become anything except banned for 1 week for "griefing" our own faction. Whole guild was banned. We were PM'ed by GMs rather quickly after he went down.

TBH I forgot about this I've quit playing shortly after Cataclysm, I got like 5 pages in Microsoft Word but I don't really have motivation to finish it. Perhaps one day

    The nostalgia..

    Q_Q

If you're looking to recapture nostalgia.. It's not going to happen.

Is the Cleaner and the mob that spawns it still available with in the game? I always thought that I would kite it to a Major city but never got around to it.

Any way reading the OP makes me nostalgic, the game is no much transparent and streamlined today for better and for worse.

I thought I should bump this, considering the quality of the info in it.
