Big Case!

Anyone got a link for a fairly big computer case? I'd prefer for it not to have lots and lots of lights on it. Also, it's to fit a GTX280 in.

My Packard Bell iPower case is not big enough :'(!

Most mid tower cases will fit a GTX280, a few I'd personally recommend are the HAF932, Storm Sniper Black, and Lancool PC-K60 or PC-K62. I personally have a PC-K62 and Storm Sniper Black and the K62 is a good amount smaller than the Storm Sniper but temperatures are fairly similar in both cases. My GTX470 in my case right now idles at 38 with the stock cooler and stock fan settings, and my 5850 idles around the same. The Storm Sniper and HAF922 are pretty much the same size and are both classified as mid tower cases but are actually pretty close to being full tower.

The Storm Sniper has a fan controller and a button to turn off the LED's on the fans, but I find the power LED to be quite strong and annoyingly bright (It can pretty much light a room).

And if you're looking for something a bit more sleek you should consider the Cooler Master ATCS 840 or the Lian Li PC-A71F, both are very large.

I'm using an Antec Nine Hundred and have no space issues. Personally, I think it's better than the Nine Hundred Two, since there's an annoying cage at the front of the 902 that may inhibit large graphics cards.

There are LED's in the fans of the Antec 9xx cases, but they're not that bright and I think you can replace the case fans with unlit ones, if you prefer that.

Else, there is the Corsair Obsidian 800D, which is a big tower.

Corsair also has the 700D if you don't need something as big as the 800D. The 600T is also due out in a month. The Antec case's imo are built rather cheaply, and lack in features in comparison to the Corsair cases.

You're talking about a $280 case vs a $120 case. And, frankly, Antec's 300, 900, and 1200 cases aren't cheaply built. They are good quality cases in the $100 range.

I have a 900 and a 1200 sitting here, look at the inside of them, vs the corsair cases. They're cheaply made in comparison. They're also dust magnets But maybe I was being to harsh on the antec cases, but they're not in the same league as the Corsairs, and Lian Li's etc.

Now, I'll give you this, the Antec cases are better than comparably priced cases, with the exception of say the Coolermaster cases. But the op asked for a big case, that does not have a lot of lights on it. Well the Antec 900 and 1200 look like a damn disco ball with their fan lights lol .

The OP wanted a big case to fit a GTX 280. Almost any mid-tower will fit that. There's very little reason to jump to a $280 case. I use an NZXT Apollo. Plenty of room for my components; sturdy construction. The fan on the case side bumps my Xigmatek Dark Knight, but only barely. It was something like $90. Anything in the $80-150 range is well constructed for a home system. Only people with a specific need or more money than brains will shell out almost $300 for a case.

If you look at the majority of mods, we've changed our avatars to Questionable Content characters. I came to the party late, so a lot of characters were already gone. I settled on the squirrel.

i have just gotten one myself and i was mindblowen, when i open it....... i has so many features that non of the cooler master or antec cases has (i have had haf 932/ antec 900 and 1200)

it can house any watercooling system you want, any gfx, psu, mobo`s and air cooler you want, and the cabling is just so easy in that case, that you would wish you had more cables to play with

if you are going for a cheaper case, then i would have to say the cooler master HAF 932. its about 20-30% better then antecs 900 and 1200 case. the HAF 932 has better cabling and better airflow and it just feels more solid build then the antec cases

I think you're going to notice a developing trend with me, that I only recommend top end/quality parts. Not splitting hairs with you, but he said he wanted a big case. The Corsair 800D, is both quality and big. We don't know if he just wants to spend $90, or he may want to spend $300 and have all of the features. If you look around, the 800D can be had for $220 and free shipping, which makes it an awesome deal.

Nowhere am I saying Antec is crap, they are the better case of the low end mid-full towers. But ok, I'll make a new recommendation... For $100-$140, go Coolermaster 922 or shell out the extra $15 for the 932. Awesome air cooling case. If you're gonna go water cooling, go for the Coolermaster Cosmos S. If you wanna spend some extra cash for a case with all of the features, excellent wire management, hot swappable bays etc, go for the Corsair 700D/800D, or wait for the smaller/cheaper 600T. </broken record>

Not getting any dust inside the pc itself, the filters really do their job. Worth the money imo.

If you can afford it go Lian Li they have "Big" cases and the craftsmanship is second to none.

HAF X, best full tower "budget" cooling solution atm (IMO), 2x exhaust 200mm fans on top(can mount a 360 rad), 1x 200 intake at side, 1x 230mm front intake and a 140mm rear exhaust, plus some more I'm not mentioning, gives reason to its name High Air Flow, and pretty silent.
Good cable managment, loads of space, front usb 3.0 ports, for its price I think its a awesome product, exterior design may not be for everyone though.

Although I dont think, the op was looking for so "extreme" cases.

If that is your budget, then my recommendation goes to the Coolermaster 922/932. Antec 900/902 (bigger pref on the 902) would be a second place recommendation.
