    Any of you..

Playing WoW on a PC built on pcspecialist.co.uk? if so, what are your specs and how much did you spend? I'm really considering getting a PC from them, but I'm having a hard time not to be greedy with the hardware, considering the ammount of choice there is >_<

What's so hard? You have a budget in mind so just stay within that budget and you'll be fine.

If you're looking for advice as to the best parts to get within a certain price range, then at least tell us your budget and we'll try our best to help you pick out the parts and such.

Ahh i myself am looking to buy a computer off PCSpecialist, but i was wondering, what sort computer are you getting ? Because the specs will be different depending on if its just for WoW or for something else.

Also theres a big difference between Intel and AMD, and choice of processor will be important.

Well.. I have thinking to go with this:

    Processor (CPU)
    Intel® Core™i7-860 Quad Core (2.80GHz, 8MB Cache)

    Motherboard
    ASUS® P7H57D-V EVO: FULL ATX, TRUE USB 3.0 & SATA 6.0GB/s

    Memory (RAM)
    4GB CORSAIR XMS3 DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 x 2GB)

    Graphics Card
    1GB ATI RADEON™ HD 5850 PCI EXPRESS - DirectX® 11

DK tanking stuffs since WoTLK beta's first day of release.

Definitely a good setup, but if you will never use hyperthreading (as in this is primarily a gaming pc only), you can save yourself a few bucks and get the i5 750. Practically the same processor, less hyperthreading.

Now if you do much video encoding, photoshop work etc, go with the i7 860 all the way, and leave HT enabled.

    Reconsidering it, thanks to the feedback received, I've changed around CPU and graphic card;

    Processor (CPU)
    Intel® Core™i5-750 Quad Core (2.66GHz, 8MB Cache)

    Motherboard
    ASUS® P7H57D-V EVO: FULL ATX, TRUE USB 3.0 & SATA 6.0GB/s

    Memory (RAM)
    4GB CORSAIR XMS3 DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 x 2GB)

    Graphics Card
    1GB ATI RADEON™ HD 5870 PCI EXPRESS - DirectX® 11

That setup is likely to "destroy" every single NEW game you throw at it [the likes of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Crysis (older but still rough), Dirt 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction or Mass Effect 2) on High settings. From here, you can pretty much guess that WoW will be like a morning breeze to that molten beast. Woah, I went poetic with the last one... sheesh

Personally, I would never sacrifice CPU for GPU (especially for WoW), but do whatchya gotta I guess.

Err... see... told you the brain trust here would sort you out :P

Speaking of which, in about 6 months time i will probably be looking into building my own replacement rig. But that'll have to wait.

Seems like a waste to build a rig just so I have a gaming computer to use when I'm in the states.

To tell the truth, That's what I wanted to hear =P

Including a new monitor, G15 keyboard, 1TB internal hard drive and a few accessories as webcam, surge protection and the such, I'm paying 1,500GBP for this beauty
