resetting assassin's creed 2 savegames?

i finished assassin's creed 2 a while ago, and i was wondering if it is possible to reuse a savegame to start a completely new game.

the thing is, it's my brother's game. he and his GF both have a save, i have the 3rd save. it seems like you can't have more than 3 saves at the same time. i want to start a new game, but can you do that?
