It's not a world first if it's simply the first person in the world to have a particular setup. I don't think it's that big a deal giving a tank such an amazing melee weapon this close to Cataclysm.

Rest of his gear was pvp, so no idea if the rest was the same.

meh who cares, cataclysm items piss on all items on live. From the first or 2nd quest in Hyjal, the 78+ zone, you get a green sword better than icc10 stuff. And yes, I got beta which I rarely use.

I already saw a dk tank with that on ravencrest(eu), so it's not even #1 tank in the world to get it.
Anyway, the gems may be not optimized, but I guess swapping enchant and spec will make him a really good dps too when needed. So, even more, it's not a waste to give shadowmourne to a dk tank.

Well, this is US first kills. So.. he killed shadowmourne? That's impressive. More impressive is that he apparently gave it life first. How did he do that? Since he still has it. Did he give it life, kill it, and bring it back to wield? Or is he wielding it's corpse?
