I grew up in the country side of Greece and I had chickens for the meat and eggs. Of course the chickens attracted foxes.
And when you hear a fox cry, your blood will freeze.

As for Mastiffs... Those are the best dogs you could have! Huge, friendly, loyal and protective. They wouldn't hurt a fly unless it threatened their family. Beautiful dogs!

See, the difference between a wolf killing a rabbit and a dog killing a fox is that rabbits eat vegetation and destroy farmers' crop (I'm looking at you, Peter), whereas foxes never did anyone a bit of harm. Sure, they steal eggs from chickens, and sometimes if they grow eight extra tails they expand and turn all fiery and demonic, but I'd rather let a fox free of a trap than a rabbit; wouldn't you?

Bonus points to anyone that can name the game where you release a fox from a hunter's trap.

People like you are so stupid and misinformed it sickens me, Foxes are not cute little harmless critters than you can pet and love, they are filthy mangy creatures than actively hunt and kill chickens for the pleasure of it, they can kill your entire coop and leave all the corpses there without eating one of them.

The reason the hounds are after it is it's called HUNTing foxes to get rid of them, they are a pest.
I personally do the same with my dog and the foxes around here if they stray in to try and attack my rabbits.
