Let the trolling continue. :[

Is it necessary to drive a car to live a fairly normal life?
Is it necessary to expose yourself to a (even if low) risk by showing your name in forums?
The difference is that one is a risk that every person must take or he/she must live a 'crippled' life, while the other is an unnecessary risk.
You may say what you want about how low the chances are, but I doubt you'd have the opinion if something similar happened to you.
Felt the need to post it twice.
Jees you people crying about trolls need to get a grip, is it so hard to ignore their post and scroll down or leave the thread?
I handle recruitment posts for our guild. The WoW forums are one of those better options. So no I didn't have a choice. And no one else in the guild would have been willing to throw their name out there either.
I also enjoy giving people advice and making constructive suggestions regarding a game I'm passionate about.
And if posting on the forums is not important to you why do you even care what happens?

Living without a car would hinder your ability to get to places.
Living without posting on the WoW forums would hinder your ability to troll. And don't go "OMG TECH SUPPORT" This thing was months from coming out, I doubt they would leave the tech support on RealID when it was released.
THIS, is the one place I do agree upon using the forums. Tech support bs is just that, bs, you have other options for tech support no matter how much you think the forums are 'required'. However, guild recruitment is completely different yet just as essential to the game.
All they need to do, to stop trolling on the forums is do a single warning, then perm-ban on the forums. No more of this "72 hour ban from the forums" nonsense. If they come back under a fake account, then IP ban them from the forums. What about families that play? Wouldn't that screw up the rest of the family's ability to post on the forums because junior decided to be an as*hat on the forums? Guess junior's going to be getting his as* beat when dad get's home, eh?
A simple warning before anyone posts:
"Warning, you agree that the following post is not of an inflammatory nature, with the sole purpose of causing problems on the forums for any single person, or the forums in general. Posting threads/responses in which would fall under the "No Trolling" portion of the forum rules will result in a 100% lifetime ban from the forums. Please review your post to make sure if meets the forum guidelines."
Then the person clicks "Yes" to continue or "Preview/Edit" to make the appropriate changes.
Within 30 days, the trolls will have found their bridges to hide under again as hundreds (if not thousands) of their brothers & sisters are slaughtered, thus the forums will return to a semi-normal state of civility.
No.
They specifically ask you to post tracert/whatever else.
Also, not everyone has same problems, people wont get ANYTHING from reading hundred times over "delete wtf, wdb, interface folders." People can have specific technical issues regarding new drivers for specific GPU/windows/whatever and the answer doesnt have to be there by default.
And no, there may not be other options, some geek fan forums arent solution either, not even them have all the answers. What if I cant log in? The only other option is to just chill and let my subscription expire with weeks/months already paid for and until the problem fixes itself?
