Question About Starcraft II League Advancing.

Hello, I couldn't find anywhere else to post this question so I thought I would just post it here since a lot of WoWers play Starcraft. O.K., I have just started playing a couple days ago and I'm the first in my bronze league I'm in and I was curious as to what calculates when I qualify to be bumped up to the silver league. Thanks for reading.

You make your way up to the top of the league. When you're #1 (or maybe 1-5 or something), it starts to place you against players in the league above you (silver players). When you beat enough of the silver players to have more points than the last person in the league it's trying to place you in, it moves you in his place, and places him at the top of the league below where he was.

To clarify, an example:

Silver league:
A bunch of people...
The last player (58 points), rank 100/100.

Bronze league:
You (500 points), rank 1/100.
A bunch of people.

You play and earn 45 points in silver league after 3 games. You're still in bronze but it'd look like this:

Silver league:
A bunch of people...
The last player (58 points), rank 100/100.
You (45 points), rank 101/100, not shown on ladder.

Bronze league:
You (500 points), rank 1/100.
A bunch of people.

After your 4th win, you've earned 59 points in silver matches, it does this:

Silver league:
A bunch of people...
You (59 points), rank 100/100
The last player (58 points), rank 101/100, not shown in ladder

Bronze league:
The last player (500 points), rank 1/100.
A bunch of people.

Not sure about the downranking of "the last player", it may or may not put him on top of the lower league.

Long story short, you are not matched based on league.

Or, if you don't want to read through the HUGE MASS of smartness(I have o.o), keep a good W/L against higher ranked players and you'll get bumped up eventually.
